London Casino and Gaming Show 2025 kicks off today
The London Casino and Gaming Show 2025 (LCG) opens its doors today, at ExCel London, with the annual event targeting land-based casino operators. Organisers expect up to 5,000 buyers from venues around the world.
The three-day event is described as a ‘pocket-sized taster’ for the upcoming International Casinos Exhibition (ICE), which is set for its first year in Barcelona later this month, having previously been held in London’s ExCeL.

Organisers have said LCG is a boutique event specifically targeting brick-and-mortar casinos, and they have confirmed there will be no online gaming exhibitions. The event, which opens the casino event calendar for the year, has been designed to have the appearance and ambiance of a casino. There will be mood music, casino lighting and casino games operating throughout the venue.
Event ambassador Nick Harding said of the decision to stage the event in London: “We found that a number of casino operators wanted to continue with a London show. Some North American operators, for example, have also welcomed the chance to come and enjoy London, a few days ahead of Barcelona.”
The LCG, which is part of the larger Entertainment, Attractions & Gaming Expo Europe (EAG) has taken ICE’s slot in London and will feature vendors and suppliers plying their wares to around 5,000 visitors.
ICE is considered the main event in the casino expo calendar. Having originally been formed as part of the Amusement Trades Exhibition International (ATEI), ICE has been hosted in London since 2009. However, following a bidding process, Barcelona has been chosen to host the prestigious event until at least 2029. This year’s ICE will take place from 20 January until 22 January.
For LCG, doors open today on 14 January and close on 16 January. Visitors will be able to see exhibitions and sample products including payment systems, casino floor tech and security solutions as well as a host of new and improved casino games. Exhibitors at this year’s event include major names like Merkur, Novomatic and Inspired.
LCG is being run alongside the EAG, which caters to arcades and gaming centres, which means the event will cover the full spectrum of gaming outlets. It will cater to arcades and games rooms that incorporate casino games as well as coin-operated machine arcades.
Show manager Nicola Lazenby said: “There is a natural and growing overlap between the amusement industry and the gambling business.”
While online casino gaming gets a lot of attention, brick-and-mortar venues remain very popular. According to the UK Gambling Commission, the UK’s non-remote casino industry generated £810m in gross gambling yield for the year ending March 2023.
Technology advances quickly, and this year’s event is expected to see emerging technologies like VR casino games, which are expected to bridge the gap between retail and online gaming. Blockchain integration, which has the potential to improve casino security and fairness, will also likely feature.
Another area of technology that has seen a lot of coverage in the past couple of years, and that will become integrated into casino businesses, is that of AI and machine learning.
