The best betting sites for cricket reviewed by our experts

Betfred
Betfred bookmaker review
4.8/5

Betfred boasts one of the best welcome offers available in the UK with punters getting £50 in free bets if they bet £10 on any sport.

They offer a decent range of markets, especially in IPL games, while you can also take advantage of their #PickYourPunt section, which allows bettors to create their own bets.

If you message Betfred on X and include #PickYourPunt, your request will be priced up.

Betfred also has a specific cricket free bet club. You can get up to £10 in free bets if you place three or more in-play bets across Monday-Wednesday.

Betfred's app is simple and effective. It's compatible with both iOS and Android.

Ladbrokes
Ladbrokes bookmaker review
4.5/5

Ladbrokes is one of the biggest bookmakers in the UK and they're a great pick for cricket fans.

Ladbrokes, who have a new customer offer of bet £5 on sports and receive £20 in free bets, offer a huge range of markets on all cricket tournaments from IPL and One Day Internationals to the T20 Blast.

They also offer in-play options and numerous featured price boosts at the top of the site once you click on their cricket tab.

Ladbrokes boast an abundance of markets including player and team options for IPL games and you can also back match specials including total match runs and player of the match.

Ladbrokes' app, which is almost identical to their iconic red site, is compatible across both iOS and Android.

Betway

Betway bookmaker review

Betway are a highly-respected bookmaker in the UK and they offer a welcome bonus of a £10 free bet when you bet £10. However, you can get up to £30 in free bets if you're open to staking more.

They could be arguably the best UK bookmaker in terms of markets available on cricket matches, especially when it comes to the IPL.

Betway also offers in-play odds and their 'Betway Boosts' section is worth checking out as they regularly provide enhanced odds.

Their 'Free Bet Club' offer is also an eye catcher. You can get £10 in free bets per week if you bet £25+ on sports trebles and accumulators.

Betway's app, which is both iOS and Android compatible, offers a decent user experience.

Matchbook
Matchbook bookmaker review
4.3/5

Matchbook, which is a sports exchange site rather than a regular bookmaker, offers a welcome bonus of £50 in free bets if you bet £50. You can also do the same offer but receive £30 in free bets by betting £30.

You can back or lay (to not win) cricket markets on Matchbook, however, they also offer some fixed-odds markets.

Matchbook, who also boast a loyalty programme which sees bettors earn a £5 free bet every week if they've staked £30 from Monday-Sunday, have limited cricket odds on their exchange but they have a fair amount of options on their fixed-odds Bet Builders for the IPL.

Matchbook's app is available on both iOS and Android.

10bet
10bet bookmaker review
4.1/5

10bet draws you in with their welcome offer of matching your first deposit of up to £50 but how is their cricket coverage?

They offer a decent amount of markets on all the major competitions - from the Indian Premier League to Twenty20 games - as well as numerous outright markets.

They also have a specific IPL free bet offer of bet £75 and get a £10 free bet. If you're interested in cricket accumulators, you can also get up to 100 per cent extra winnings (on 15-folds and above).

10bet also has a decent app on both iOS and Android.

Highbet
Highbet bookmaker review
4.1/5

Highbet, who boast a decent welcome offer of bet £10 and get £30 in free bets, are a brilliant option for cricket fans as they have vast markets available for every competition you could want to bet on.

When you click on an IPL game, they have the common markets such as match winner, player total runs/wickets and most sixes, however, there are also niche options available including team to win the toss and opening partnership total runs.

You can also create your own Bet Builder which is a bonus.

Unfortunately, Highbet doesn't offer an app which is available on iOS and Android.

Luckster

Luckster bookmaker review

Luckster are a lesser-known bookmaker on this list but what's their cricket coverage like?

Luckster, who offer a bet £10 and get a £10 free bet, have all the major competitions covered but their market choice is slightly limited.

You can create Bet Builders on cricket matches which is a bonus and their array of options is good enough (includes match winner, player runs, player fours and sixes, top batsman).

They also boast an accumulator bonus where bettors can land up to 77% extra winnings on a cricket 15-fold.

Luckster doesn't offer an app that's compatible with iOS and Android.

Mr.Play bookmaker review

Mr Play, who offer a welcome bonus of bet £10 and get a £10 free bet, are worth checking out if you're a cricket fan as they have every competition covered.

While it'd be better if there were slightly more markets on offer, their cricket Bet Builders, especially for IPL games, are decent.

They offer the common markets such as a player to score 10+ or 20+ runs but there are also more niche options including how the first wicket will fall.

You can also get extra winnings on cricket accumulators. Bettors can receive up to 77 per cent extra on a 15-fold.

The Mr Play app, which is the same as their site, is iOS and Android compatible.

Spreadex
Spreadex bookmaker review
4/5

Spread Ex is different to regular bookmakers as it's spread betting, meaning it's like buying and selling markets rather than backing a winner or loser in a normal bet.

Spread Ex, who offer £60 in free bets when you bet £10 as a welcome bonus, also offer fixed odds but cricket suits spread betting.

They have all the major events covered including the Indian Premier League, One Day Internationals, Twenty20 and numerous women's tournaments.

Spread Ex offers a decent range of markets, including plenty of player options as well as team markets, while you can also combine picks into a Bet Builder.

Their app is straightforward and available on both iOS and Android.

Vegasland
Vegasland bookmaker review
4/5

Vegasland, who boast a bet £10 and get a £10 free bet welcome offer, are heavily casino focused on their site but they offer decent cricket coverage.

The main tournaments are covered and selections can be combined into a Bet Builder. They have slightly fewer markets than other major bookmakers - they only had match winner as the team markets on their IPL games - but they offer in-play options and decent outright markets.

Unfortunately, Vegasland doesn't have an app which is available on iOS and Android.

The best cricket betting markets to play

Match winner Match winner
The most common and simple bet in cricket. You're simply picking which team will win the match. You can back either team or a draw.
Top Batsman Top Batsman
You're placing a bet on which player will score the most runs in the game. You can also back top team batsman with most bookmakers.
Top Bowler Top Bowler
You're backing which player will take the most wickets in the match. If players are on the same tally at the end of the game, the winner will be the bowler that conceded the fewest runs.
Player of the Match Player of the Match
You're placing a bet on which player will be named "Player of the Match". It's the same idea as man of the match in football and the winner can be from either team.
Toss Winner Toss Winner
At the beginning of every cricket match, there will be a coin toss to decide which team bats and bowls first. You're betting on the outcome of heads or tails.
Total Runs Over/Under Total Runs Over/Under
You're betting on how many runs will be scored. There are numerous options available whether it's the whole match, the tally of each team or whether a player has over/under a set amount of runs. You can even bet on how many runs will be scored in an over (six balls).
Total Wickets Over/Under Total Wickets Over/Under
When you bet on how many wickets will be taken in the match. There will be a predetermined tally - 16 wickets for example - and you back whether it'll be over or under 16.
Batter Runs Over/Under Batter Runs Over/Under
You're backing a certain player in the over/under runs market. If you've backed a player to finish with 50 runs and they record 55, you've got a winner.
Bowler Wickets Over/Under Bowler Wickets Over/Under
Same premise as the batting over/under but for bowlers. You're backing a specific player to take a certain amount of wickets.
Run Rate Run Rate
In cricket, run rate (RR) is the average amount of runs the batting side is scoring per over. It's worked out by dividing the total runs by the amount of overs bowled.
Method of Dismissal Method of Dismissal
You're backing how a batter will be dismissed from the game. They could be bowled, caught, run out, stumped, leg before wicket (LBW) and a few other less common options.
Sixes Over/Under Sixes Over/Under
Another simple bet of how many sixes will be hit by batting sides in the game. Bookmakers will set the tally and you decide whether there will be more or less.

Major cricket tournaments to bet on

The Ashes
The Ashes

The Ashes is the oldest and most famous cricket competition in the history of the sport. Every two years, England and Australia face off in a best-of-five test series and the pair alternate hosting. The Ashes usually lasts around a month as each test will take about five days.

ICC Men's Cricket World Cup
ICC Men's Cricket World Cup

The Cricket World Cup, which is a One Day International (ODI) tournament, takes place every four years and it's as big as it gets in the cricket world. The first edition was held in 1975 and 14 teams will compete for the crown from the 2027 tournament in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Indian Premier League
Indian Premier League

The Indian Premier League was founded in 2008 and it's grown into the biggest T20 competition in the world, with the IPL now worth over £8 billion. It's held every year and it's estimated around 400 million fans worldwide tune in for the thrilling action in India as 10 teams battle it out for the crown. England players will play in the competition after being selected in an auction process. Jos Buttler was signed by the Gujarat Titans for £1.4 million ahead of the 2025 season.

T20 World Cup
T20 World Cup

The T20 World Cup, which was founded in 2007, is a hugely popular fixture in the cricket calendar. It now takes place every two years and the next edition will be held in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. Twenty20 is usually seen as a more viewer friendly option than a test series as it's shorter and action-packed.

ICC Champions Trophy
ICC Champions Trophy

The ICC Champions Trophy, which has undergone a few rebrands since its inception in 1998, is also in the ODI format and it's held every four years. It was formerly known as the ICC Knock Out Trophy and India, who are the current champions, are the most successful team in the tournament's history.

Offers available at the best cricket betting sites

Free bets Free bets

Cricket fans can get free bets from numerous betting sites. You can take advantage of welcome bonuses for one-off free bets or loyalty programmes which will be weekly free bets after betting a certain amount per week.

Early payout offers Early payout offers

Early payout offers are more common in other sports such as football but cricket betting sites have been known to offer early payouts. If you've backed a team to win and they score 200 or more runs in the first innings, the bet may be settled as a winner despite the final result. Another previous offer has seen your bet paid out if the team's opening partnership goes 100-0.

Money-back offers Money-back offers

Again, more associated with either welcome bonuses or other sports but money-back offers see your stake returned even if the selection is a loser. This could relate to backing a team to win a tournament outright and money back as cash could be available if they reach the final but fail to win.

Price boosts Price boosts

Numerous bookmakers will offer enhanced odds and boosts, especially around big IPL games or major tournaments. They can be bigger-odd selections or as simple as a 1/2 shot boosted to evens (1/1). Keep an eye out for maximum stakes and general terms and conditions on these boosts.

Extra each-way places Extra each-way places

When you place an each-way cricket bet on an outright selection, you're backing a team to win and to "place". You will likely get 1/2 of the win odds paid for place bets, which may be two places (to reach the final). If you back England to win the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup at 5/1 each way with a £10 total stake, you're betting £5 on them to win the tournament and £5 on them to place (reach the final).
