The best baccarat casinos in the UK reviewed by FIRST’s experts

Winomania casino review UK

Few casinos can match Winomania for baccarat variety. It launched only in 2018 and already has over 38 titles on the menu. The classic baccarat tables are there as expected, alongside twists like Live Squeeze adding genuine drama. If you prefer a lighter touch, the RNG titles give you that, with Mini Baccarat offering a scaled-down option. Players looking for high-limit baccarat can choose among Privé lounges hosted by Evolution. They offer a more exclusive setup and stakes that reach thousands of pounds per hand.

When I joined myself, I claimed a 100% bonus worth up to £100 plus 100 spins. I also valued the weekly cashback, which can return up to 20% of net losses, capped at £5,000. The rate shifts with your VIP tier and reaches the full 20% at the Diamond level.

Pros:

  • Potential special bonuses tied to baccarat play in VIP tiers

  • User-friendly site layout

  • Side bets such as Player/Banker Pair are supported on many tables

Cons:

  • Live chat support is not available 24/7

Betfred casino review UK

There's often a misconception that strong sportsbooks overlook table games, but that's not the case with Betfred. The platform focuses most of its efforts on baccarat live casino games. You'll find over 20 tables available. They all come from Playtech, so you can expect nothing less than proper studio setups with dealers who stick to the right rhythm and make every game feel social.

Betfred is also one of the best baccarat betting sites when it comes to welcome offers. Signing up drops 200 no-wager bonus spins on the table with only a £10 deposit. Any winnings can go straight on the player, banker, or tie. And if you’re not sure where to start, hit the ‘i’ icon on each thumbnail to see everything from minimum stakes to RTP and provider details.

Pros:

  • Easy-to-navigate app for accessing baccarat tables on the go

  • Payouts processed in as little as 12 hours

  • Complimentary points system rewarding regular play

Cons:

  • Lack of a separate area for baccarat tables

The Vic review

The Vic starts newcomers' journey with up to £200 in bonuses and 100 extra spins spread across the first three deposits. Beyond that, there's also plenty for regulars to enjoy, such as earning one coin for every £1 of real money spent on baccarat through the loyalty programme. And if you ever want to brush up on the rules, bets, or card values, the separate tab they've created leads to a detailed baccarat guide that explains both online and live play.

Some of my favourite games include the live versions of Baccarat No Commission and Lightning Baccarat. The latter is a twist on the classic with lightning card multipliers. Stakes cover a wide range, too, starting from just 20p and reaching up to £5,000 on titles such as Super 8 Baccarat.

Pros:

  • Wide selection of live baccarat tables

  • Clear table limits displayed on thumbnails before joining

  • High-quality streams with friendly dealers

Cons:

  • No baccarat tournaments or leaderboard competitions

All British Casino review UK

Upon signing up at All British Casino, you'll receive a 100% matched deposit bonus of up to £100 along with 10% cashback. That allows for an increased bankroll before navigating the baccarat options on offer. Speaking of, these include virtual picks like 3D Baccarat, along with fast-paced tables such as Speed, Super Speed, and Squeeze versions.

All British Casino has a dedicated baccarat category in the live casino section. I wasn’t too keen on Fan Tan, Dragon Tiger and Sic Bo being grouped in there. But at the same time, it’s easy to look past, given all the other high points, including an excellent track record and licences from both the UKGC and the Malta Gaming Authority.

Pros:

  • Fast withdrawals (within 24 hours)

  • Strong responsible gambling tools

  • Reliable live streams without interruptions

Cons:

  • Table and live games don’t count toward most bonuses

William Hill Vegas casino review UK

I picked up 200 bonus spins when I signed up at William Hill, and the best part was that the winnings came with no wagering at all. This seems to be the brand’s way of handling most offers, which is great as it leaves the door open for baccarat to play a bigger part in future promos.

Looking at the baccarat variations available, one of my favourites is the exclusive William Hill Speed Baccarat from Pragmatic. This features shorter betting windows, quicker dealing, and five side bets, including Perfect Pair and Player Pair. Other fun picks I don't often come across elsewhere are the Japanese Squeeze Baccarat and Fashion TV Jackpot Baccarat. The latter offers a four-level progressive jackpot that can trigger at any time when betting on the tie.

Pros:

  • Innovative search tool that separates RNG and live baccarat results

  • Exclusive tables

  • Strong reputation backed by long industry history

Cons:

  • No loyalty/VIP programme

Grosvenor Casino review UK

Grosvenor Casino gives newcomers £30 in bonus funds on a £20 deposit or more. Slots are the clear route for meeting the 30x playthrough, since they count in full. You also get 100 extra spins, with any winnings needing just a single rollover. That frees you to explore the platform's strong baccarat lineup sooner, which focuses heavily on live dealer tables.

You'll find everything from classic versions to modern interpretations such as Golden Wealth Baccarat, Knockout Baccarat, Royale Baccarat, and Speed Baccarat, most of which are powered by the industry-leading studio, Evolution. I especially appreciated how well everything is organised, especially since few casinos provide a dedicated tab for baccarat casino games. It simplifies browsing considerably, and the added flexibility of seeing table limits directly on the thumbnail before entering a room boosts the convenience.

Pros:

  • Over 20 live baccarat options

  • Minimum deposits and withdrawals of £5

  • Multi-language options available on selected live baccarat games

Cons:

  • Limited RNG baccarat games

Mega Riches casino review UK

Mega Riches ranks among the top baccarat casinos online if you value a big spread of titles in one place. New players who deposit at least £10 can claim a 100% bonus up to £25 plus 50 extra spins. Then, every week, baccarat live casino games feed into what they call a ‘WinBooster’. They work it out with the formula ‘0.10 x (100 - RTP)’ on your total wagers, and whatever that comes to gets dropped into your account the following Friday.

I counted over 100 baccarat titles, though the drawback is that there’s no dedicated lobby. The best way around it is to head straight for the search bar. Two titles I've returned to countless times are the instant-win style Baccarat Dare2Win from Hacksaw Gaming and PG Soft’s Baccarat Deluxe. The latter offers an RTP of up to 98.94%. Alternatives you can try are the live dealers Salon Privé Baccarat and Always 8 Baccarat.

Pros:

  • Large baccarat library with well over 100 RNG tables and live dealers

  • Layout works consistently across both desktop and mobile devices

  • All tables are available around the clock

Cons:

  • Promotions are not as strong for baccarat as they are for slots

Pub Casino review UK

Pub Casino is one of the more modern baccarat casino online platforms you'll come across. The graphics look tidy wherever you go. I especially liked the layout. It makes splendid use of space with tiles stretching the full width and a horizontal carousel to flick through providers. To view promos, head into your profile area. The first that shows is a 100% match bonus up to £100 against a $10 minimum deposit.

The RNG side of baccarat at Pub Casino is limited, with 3D Baccarat by NYX being the only option I found. On the live dealer front, though, there is a strong lineup from Stakelogic, Evolution, and Pragmatic Play. Popular picks include Golden Wealth Baccarat, Super Speed Baccarat, Peek Baccarat, XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat, and Prosperity Tree Baccarat.

Pros:

  • Dedicated iOS app available

  • 24/7 customer support via live chat, email, and phone

  • Neatly separated categories and features

Cons:

  • Limited RNG baccarat games on offer

Mr.Play casino review UK

I’d recommend Mr Play for anyone keen to explore Evolution’s live baccarat variations. The site lists 21 tables, ranging from first-person formats to popular picks like Baccarat Squeeze and Speed Baccarat. A standard round usually lasts 48 seconds, but the latter cuts this down to 27 seconds with cards dealt face-up and results delivered almost instantly. Classic and No Commission versions form part of the core lineup, too.

At the moment, baccarat doesn’t count towards the £200 plus 100 extra spins sign-up bonus. What I did instead was focus on the slots to clear the 35x wagering, and I finished with about £142, which I could then take straight onto the tables.

Pros:

  • UKGC-licensed and iTechLabs-certified for fairness and security

  • Mobile-friendly with both iOS and Android apps available

  • Multiple banking methods

Cons:

  • No RNG baccarat table games

Videoslots casino review UK

Videoslots has one of the largest welcome offers among the best online baccarat casinos. You get 11 wager-free spins on Starburst plus 100% of what you put in the first time up to £200. The name might suggest it's all about spinning reels, and with roughly 9,000 games available, that’s undeniably the highlight. However, baccarat fans are well catered for with popular versions like Speed Baccarat and No Commission Baccarat, as well as less mainstream options such as Turbo Baccarat.

When it comes to live dealers, tables often fill up quickly at peak times due to the game's growing popularity in the UK over recent years. That said, multiple rooms of the same variants are available, so finding a seat is rarely an issue. I also like that you can use the search bar to track down your favourite or filter by provider, whether that's Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Playtech, or iSoftBet. Every option is fully optimised for mobile play and works splendidly across all the main browsers.

Pros:

  • Mobile-first interface

  • Wide range of live baccarat variants

  • Stakes suitable for both casual and high-stakes players

Cons:

  • £2.50 fee charged for more than one withdrawal per day

How we rate baccarat casinos

Our team continuously reviews the best UK online casinos and applies the FIRST system in a way that focuses on baccarat to pick out the strongest options. For the full breakdown of the general approach, head to our ‘how we rate’ page. Here are four of the main areas we look at when scoring baccarat casinos online:

Baccarat game variety and quality

Platforms with the widest spread of baccarat casino games score highest, though we still give credit to those that specialise in one style or provider. The staples we expect to see are classic punto banco, speed baccarat, baccarat squeeze, no commission, and even niche spins like Dragon Tiger or Baccarat Control Squeeze. Extra marks go to sites with RNG games in demo, as well as live tables that run 24/7 with enough seats to accommodate traffic. We dig into the software as well and play through all games on desktop and mobile to judge the quality ourselves.

 Baccarat game variety and quality
Live dealer experience and streaming

We assess baccarat live casino tables at peak hours and quieter times, from deal-to-payout speed right through to stream stability on Wi-Fi and 5G. The best platforms also show proper shoe close-ups with balanced camera angles and maintain audio that stays clear without background noise cutting across. Extra credit goes to platforms that display table limits clearly in the main lobby and employ dealers who handle procedures with precision while keeping the player chat natural.

Live dealer experience and streaming
Betting limits and VIP options

Our team tracks baccarat tables across casinos to see who consistently posts wider betting ranges. Top ones spread limits from £0.10 per round for casual players through to £10,000 stakes aimed at high rollers. We also check the scope of VIP and loyalty programs and note how baccarat play contributes toward climbing tiers. Other features such as private rooms, cashback offers, larger withdrawal ceilings, and host support all strengthen the overall experience.

Betting limits and VIP options
Mobile compatibility and user experience

We start by running baccarat on different devices to see how it behaves, whether that’s an older Android, a brand-new iPhone, or a tablet. From there, sessions get logged on both Wi-Fi and 5G to measure load times and battery drain. The user controls then carry equal weight. We check if chip placement works cleanly in portrait and landscape, and whether re-bet sits within thumb reach rather than buried in menus. Casinos also rate stronger when streams stay stable and responsive tables pair with app store updates that actually improve performance.

Payment methods for baccarat casinos

The best online baccarat casinos support various payment methods, and with deposits from £5 to £10, you’ve got more than enough to have a go at low-stakes tables. We saw entry bets starting at 10p a hand. Here are the main options you'll come across at UK baccarat casinos:

Credit and debit cards

Debit cards are the most common way to move money in and out of baccarat casinos in the UK. One of their main draws is that transactions work just like any other online purchase. The main options are Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro, all of which come backed by bank-level security. Most deposits hit your balance straight away, while cashing out can take a few working days.

Credit and debit cards
E-wallets and digital payments

Baccarat casinos have seen a rise in PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller use. That’s mainly because they let you put money in and withdraw winnings without handing over sensitive details. E-wallets also pay out quicker than cards, often within 24 hours. On top of that, Apple Pay and Google Pay make it even easier to top up on mobile baccarat sites with biometric verification. The key thing to remember is that some bonuses exclude deposits made through these methods.

E-wallets and digital payments
Bank transfers and Faster Payments Service (FPS)

Bank transfers are often preferred by those playing high-limit baccarat, as casinos typically have more flexible caps. You can also feel more at ease since the funds move through your bank’s own secure network with a full audit trail. The downside is that processing can take a bit longer. However, if both your bank and the casino support the Faster Payments Service (FPS), the money lands far quicker.

Bank transfers and Faster Payments Service (FPS)
Cryptocurrency options

A growing number of crypto casinos now support deposits and withdrawals in digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ether. These operate on decentralised blockchain networks and, therefore, offer greater privacy and borderless transactions. That said, one should be aware that values can fluctuate significantly, and transactions are irreversible once sent.

Types of baccarat games available online

Punto Banco (standard baccarat) Punto Banco (standard baccarat)

Punto Banco is the version of baccarat you’ll see in almost every casino. It uses two hands, called Player and Banker. Each begins with two cards, and the dealer follows fixed rules to draw a third if required. Then, the side closest to nine wins the round.

Mini baccarat and speed baccarat Mini baccarat and speed baccarat

Mini baccarat uses the same rules as Punto Banco but is played on a smaller table with fewer seats. Meanwhile, speed baccarat pushes this further and reduces decision and dealing times to as little as 27 seconds per round.

Live dealer baccarat variations Live dealer baccarat variations

Live baccarat streams games from studio or casino floors. Common variants include Baccarat Squeeze, where the dealer slowly reveals cards, and Lightning Baccarat, which adds multipliers to random winning hands for higher payouts.

Chemin de Fer online and Baccarat Banque Chemin de Fer online and Baccarat Banque

Both of these French baccarat versions introduce gameplay elements not found in Punto Banco. Particularly, playing Chemin de Fer online, players take turns acting as the banker and decide whether to draw a third card. On the other hand, Baccarat Banque assigns the banker role to one party for the entire shoe.

What is live baccarat?

What is live baccarat?

Live baccarat is an online version of the game that feels about as close to the Hippodrome as you’ll get without stepping in. Developers like Evolution and Playtech stream tables from studios or casino floors, with croupiers handling physical cards and keeping to the usual house routines.

You follow the action in real time and put your bets down through a digital interface. There’s even an on-screen chat where you can have a bit of back-and-forth with other players or talk to the dealer. Baccarat live casinos carry different variants, each offering its own mix of side bets, themed tables, and high-limit VIP rooms.

Understanding the basics of baccarat - how to play

Baccarat dates back to 15th-century Italy and grew out of an old Etruscan ritual of chance. Its name comes from baccara, an archaic Italian dialect word for ‘worth nothing’ linked to tens and face cards counting as zero. French nobles later shaped the early game into Chemin de fer and Baccarat Banque, with banker roles rotating between players. Monte Carlo refined these versions, and over time, casinos in Las Vegas and Macau standardised the modern Punto Banco format with fixed drawing rules.

Baccarat is a comparing card game built around two hands, Player and Banker. Both sit side by side and the aim is to call which lands closest to nine. Players never handle the cards. Instead, dealers control every move at live tables, while the software takes care of the lot in RNG games.

Baccarat uses a standard 52-card deck without jokers. Games usually play out with six to eight decks loaded into a shoe. Then, once the cards drop, they each carry a set value as shown in the table below.

Card: Ace

Value in Baccarat: 1

Cards: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Value in baccarat: Face value (2 = 2, 7 = 7, etc.)

Cards: 10, Jack, Queen, King

Value in baccarat: 0

The game starts with four cards dealt in order: first to Player, second to Banker, third to Player, fourth to Banker. Each side now holds two cards. To work out the score, add their values together. If the total goes above nine, drop the first digit and keep the number that remains.

For example:

  • 7 + 8 = 15 | Score 5

  • Ace + 9 = 10 | Score 0

  • King + 3 = 3 | Score 3

The strongest hand is a natural nine, made with two cards totalling 9. A natural eight ranks just behind. If either side lands one of those off the first two cards, the round stops there and then.

Right off the bat, you might compare the player–banker setup in baccarat to how you play blackjack.  The key difference is that you’re not sat on either side of the table. Both the Player hand and the Banker hand are fixed positions, and your only job is to decide which one to back. The three standard bets are:

  • Player: The Player hand to finish closer to nine.

  • Banker: The Banker hand to finish closer to nine.

  • Tie: Both hands to finish with the same total.

Banker bets pay 0.95:1 because the house takes 5% commission off each win to even out its edge from the drawing rules. Another point worth knowing is that if a round ends in a Tie and you had backed the Player or Banker, your stake gets returned.

As for house edge, the Banker bet stands strongest at about 1.06%, even with commission applied. Player comes in a little higher, while bets on Tie are usually ones to steer clear of unless there are boosted payouts or other incentives on offer, as you’ll see in modern variants like Evolution’s Lightning Baccarat.

Baccarat betting strategies

Martingale and progression systems

Chances are you’ll come across Martingale and other progression systems like Paroli, Labouchere or Fibonacci when digging into online casino strategies for baccarat. Each of these can help steer how much you stake in different situations, so long as you’ve planned it tightly around your budget and objectives. At the same time, tread carefully, because none of them does anything to shift the house edge or the actual odds of winning.

Martingale and progression systems
Banker vs player betting strategy

Statistically, the best long-term play in baccarat is to back the Banker. Under classic punto banco rules, Banker bets come in slightly more often than Player, and even with the 5% commission, the house edge sits at about 1.06% compared with the Player’s 1.24%. There are exceptions with modern variants. In No Commission Baccarat, for example, the tweak to the rules lifts the Banker’s edge to roughly 1.46%, while the Player’s stays at 1.24%.

Banker vs player betting strategy
Managing your baccarat bankroll

A good rule of thumb for baccarat bankroll management is to set a budget before you sit down and break it into sessions. Fix a unit size and keep stakes within 1–2% per bet, particularly at the start. It also helps to set clear stop limits for the times you’re ahead, so you’ve got a target to aim at and know the point to cash out.

Baccarat bonuses and promotions

Baccarat bonuses and promotions

All baccarat betting sites featured on this page line up plenty of promos, from casino welcome bonuses for new players to reloads, free spins, and loyalty perks. The sticking point with baccarat is the wagering contribution, which in most cases sits around 5% to 20% of what you stake.

The smart way around it is to clear the bulk of the requirement on online slots or other qualifying titles. Then, take whatever balance you manage to win and put it into baccarat on your own terms.

The most popular promotions at baccarat online casinos are:

  • Welcome bonus: Newcomers receive a deposit match sign-up offer, sometimes paired with extra spins on selected slots.

  • Extra Spins: Extra spins are tied to specific slot games and give you a chance to build balance before moving funds into baccarat.

  • Cashback: Such promotions allow for a buffer during losing runs by refunding a percentage of your net losses over a set period.

  • Reload offer: This targets existing players and often involves a percentage match on deposits. Baccarat casinos may also bundle it with free spins or cashback.

  • VIP / Loyalty programme: Most typically earns you points for every wager, which can be exchanged for rewards. VIP members gain extra benefits like quicker withdrawals, higher limits, special bonus offers, and personal account managers.

Baccarat-specific bonuses: These may include boosted cashback or tailored deposit matches. Leaderboard events are also common in baccarat, in which you compete by placing bets over a set period.

Mobile baccarat gaming

Mobile baccarat gaming

Most baccarat casino websites in the UK are fully optimised for mobile and give you the option to play directly in your browser. Some even have native apps available through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Either way, the design is fully responsive, meaning tables, chips, betting grids, and menus automatically adjust to fit any screen size, most often in landscape mode.

Mobile baccarat casinos naturally support touchscreen controls. You can place bets or check scorecards with quick taps and swipes, which is especially ideal for faster variants like speed baccarat. Some also include device-specific tools such as push notifications for new promotions and biometric logins using Face ID or fingerprint recognition.

VIP and high-limit baccarat

VIP and high-limit baccarat

High-limit baccarat casino games cater directly to players who expect a more premium experience. You’ll sometimes see it in RNG titles with minimum bets set at £50 or £100 to keep the field limited.

The real weight, though, sits in the baccarat live casino lobbies. Evolution stands out here through its Privé tables, laid out in an elite setting where the dealer gives full attention to a small circle of players and sometimes even one-to-one. Stakes open at £500 or £1,000 and can stretch into five figures, and some casinos make entry dependent on showing a bankroll above a given level.

Legal situation with baccarat gambling in the UK

Legal situation with baccarat gambling in the UK

Anyone over 18 can play baccarat online legally in the UK, and you keep every penny of your winnings as HMRC doesn’t tax returns. Gambling laws, however, make it clear that every site must hold a licence from the UK Gambling Commission, which is the body that regulates operators and sets the standards for player protection. That framework gives players a safe setting to enjoy baccarat sessions, complete with trusted payment methods and formal processes for handling complaints.

Responsible baccarat gambling

Responsible baccarat gambling

You must be 18+ to gamble. Baccarat is a game of chance and should never be treated as a way to make money. The objective is to have fun playing. Our tips can guide you along the way, but they give no guarantee you’ll walk away with profit.

Only bet what fits your budget, and don’t let the result interfere with friends and family.

FAQs

  • No, online baccarat isn’t rigged as long as you play at UKGC-licensed casinos. Computerised games use random number generators to deliver fair results, while live dealer tables stream everything in real time. Independent auditors like eCOGRA and iTech Labs test both formats to confirm integrity.
