Play Jango is part of the Skill On Net family of casinos, licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
Launched in 2020, it boasts a staggering collection of more than 8,000 games, plus several innovative features you won’t find elsewhere. In this review, I explore whether Play Jango is among the best UK online casinos.

Yes What is Play Jango all about?
The website tells me to “Play it like a Jango” – I’ve absolutely no idea what that means, but I think I like it. Once I’ve got over the somewhat cluttered home page and old fashioned-looking logo, that is.
This is a Skill On Net casino, and they’re not exactly famous for beautiful graphics. What they do provide is cutting-edge features and an incredible number of relationships with leading industry developers.
Play Jango leverages this nicely with its 8,000-strong library.
Bonuses
The welcome bonus is a 100% deposit match up to £25, plus 25 free spins of £0.10 on Book of Dead.
As casino welcome bonuses go, that’s more than enough to test the site’s features and still have a chance of winning something. However, there’s a 30x wager requirement on the combined deposit and bonus, plus 60x on free spins winnings.
Promotions for the regulars work differently at Play Jango. There are no fixed reload bonuses, happy hours or cashback deals. Instead, you’ll receive personally tailored offers based on your activity, called “Daily Picks”. Click the “Promotions” tab to see what’s available.
Existing players can also enjoy regular slot tournaments and the “Levels” loyalty program – more on this later.
Available games
The Play Jango library is absolutely massive, with more than 8,000 games in total.
Well over 7,000 of those are slots, from 70+ providers. But you’ll also find hundreds of live casino tables and game shows, powered by the likes of Evolution and Playtech.
All of the best-known titles are present, like Starburst and Starburst Galaxy by NetEnt, or Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza. The Rich and Cat Wilde slots by Play’n GO are here, plus Push Gaming’s Razor Shark series, and most of the Big Bass games.
Two specific sections of the site are particularly interesting. The first is “Instants”, an extensive collection of rapid-fire titles, including crash games, scratch cards and video bingo.
There’s also “Lite Play”, with low-stakes versions of popular games, offering 10p and 20p spins and a maximum bet of just £2.

Play Jango feels like a lot of other online casinos, with its blue and white colour scheme and left-hand navigation tree. This menu is self-explanatory, providing all you need to easily get around.
“Games” splits into seven sub-categories, including “Slots”, “Live Casino” and “Jackpots”, all of which contain further, more granular options. It also offers handy links to your account profile, daily picks and live support agents.
One feature I love is the “Hot / Cold” option. This displays real-time data on games that are paying over their expected rate, and those doing the opposite.
Mobile and app compatibility
Players are spoiled for choice when it comes to mobile casino options.
There’s a native app for Android and iOS devices, both of which are easy to use and rated highly by players. At the time of writing, it scores 4.1 in the Play Store, while Apple users rate it 4.6 out of 5.
You don’t have to download the app, though – simply visit the Play Jango website in your smartphone or tablet browser. It’s fully responsive, adjusting to fit your screen regardless of size. Use the same login credentials as you would on desktop.
When logging in, you may be prompted to try the web app. This is just a lighter, browser-based version of the native software. Installing it adds a shortcut to your home screen.
VIP programmes and loyalty rewards
Play Jango’s loyalty program is called “Levels”, and it works much the same as any other. Accumulate points as you play, progressing through 12 tiers as you check off each milestone.
Click the progress bar at the top of your screen to see your current Levels status. The further you travel along the map, the better the rewards become.
Diving deeper into Play Jango
Licencing
This casino is operated by Skill On Net Limited, a well-known company that’s highly respected within the industry.
They handle more than 30 international casino and online bingo sites, underlining their credentials as a trustworthy and experienced provider.
In the UK, Skill On Net is regulated by the Gambling Commission, and Play Jango uses its remote casino license (number 039326-R-319358-056). However, the company has also earned accreditation from a dozen major international bodies, including the Malta Gaming Authority.
Payment methods
The choice of payment options is more than adequate, with Visa and Mastercard, PayPal and online banking. For the latter, you can use Trustly, or make an instant transfer to dozens of UK financial institutions via Open Banking.
Fortunately, Play Jango doesn’t charge for deposits, and the minimum requirement is just £10 for all banking methods.
Withdrawals are quick. They’re usually processed within three hours, meaning same day payments for options like PayPal. The minimum payout for bank transfers is £50, but it’s £20 for everything else, and the upper limit is £5,000.
There are no withdrawal fees – except for bank transfers less than £500, where a £10 charge applies.
Software providers
The 8,000-strong game library is powered by some of the biggest casino game developers in the world, including Light & Wonder, NetEnt and Play’n GO.
However, with over 70 providers on display, there are plenty of up-and-coming studios in the mix too. One of my personal favourites is SGaming – look out for Cat and Mouse Collect in particular.
Industry giants Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play power a huge live casino library of more than 400 live dealer tables and 50+ game shows.
Security and fairness
Play Jango only works with reputable and licensed developers whose games are independently certified as fair by third-party testing labs like GLI.
In addition, the site boasts a UK Gambling Commission licence, ensuring the highest standards of player protection and financial management.
Payments and other sensitive data are secured using AES-128-GCM encryption, various antimalware systems and the TLS 1.2 protocol.
It’s not possible to set up multi-factor authentication, but Play Jango forces new registrants to create a strong password.
Responsible gambling measures
Play Jango offers more responsible gambling tools than most sites, thanks to Skill On Net’s unique “Safe Mate” dashboard.
This monitors all of your activity over a period of 180 days, allowing you to easily check total deposits, wins and losses. It also anonymously compares your gameplay to other players, revealing whether you play more or less than average.
The usual player safety tools also exist:
- Status reminder. Set a play time notification from 15 to 90 mins.
- Deposit limits. Choose daily, weekly and monthly options.
- Player limitation. Block access for a day, a week or a month.
- Self-exclusion. Voluntarily ban yourself for up to five years.
As a Gambling Commision-licensed casino, Play Jango is also part of GAMSTOP, the national self-exclusion program.
Play Jango might look like your average casino, with its tried-and-trusted layout and a somewhat ugly logo. But look past the first impression, and you’ll discover an excellent place to play.
Its library contains more than 8,000 titles from 70+ major suppliers – the live casino alone offers more than 450 games.
Play Jango also features a number of features unique to the Skill On Net family. These include Lite Play games, real-time “Hot / Cold” data and the Safe Mate responsible gambling dashboard.
My only real criticism is the lack of transparency around ongoing promotions. You’ll receive “daily picks” based on previous activity, but there are no consistent reload bonuses or cashback promotions.
That aside, Play Jango is one of the best UK casinos I’ve reviewed for quite a long time.
