What is Ladbrokes all about?

Bonuses

I think that the Ladbrokes welcome offer is one of the best available to new UK customers. The offer is - bet £5, get £20 (four x £5) in free bets.

The odds of your £5 bet must be 1/2 (1.5) or greater to qualify for their offer and then you will be credited with the free bets immediately.

You can also get two football accumulator insurances every day, which will see you get your money back (up to £10) as a free bet if one team lets you down. This is a superb offer as we have all been let down by what we thought was a sure thing in an acca haven’t we?

Additionally, you can also get two acca boosts a day! Click the ‘odds boost’ button in your betslip to increase the odds on your first two qualifying accas of the day.

Available sports

Ladbrokes is home to every major sport you could possibly place a bet on. Football, horse racing and greyhound racing heads up their homepage as their most important markets, however, there is a whole list of possible markets on the left of the screen ranging from tennis to more niche betting sports like handball.

Their in-play tab is also decent. It is displayed front and centre, just below the carousel of offers and boosts at the top of the homepage. Another strong quality is that Ladbrokes also offer in-depth statistics for numerous sports including the likes of tennis.

The American sports coverage on this site is solid and if you go on their NFL tab, you will be greeted with money line, handicap and total points odds for each game.

However, if you’re not interested in betting on sports and you’re more of an esports fan, Ladbrokes offer markets on the likes of League of Legends, Call of Duty, Dota 2 and CSGO (Counter Strike Global Offensive) too.

User experience and interface

The Ladbrokes website is simple yet effective. It is smart and well presented, with its iconic red and white coloured branding repeated throughout. Ladbrokes has been around forever and they know what they’re doing, with the slickness and simplicity of their site proving just that.

Their homepage is topped with boosts and offers, with upcoming sporting events just below it. Popular accas are below their ‘featured football matches’ section, which allows you to easily place an acca without having to think, or research, too much; it also shows how many people have placed those bets.

Mobile and App compatibility

Ladbrokes’s desktop and mobile websites are almost identical, with the only change coming in the form of the A-Z of sports moving from the left hand side, on desktop, to a menu tab at the bottom of the page on mobile.

Their mobile app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play Store, is tidy and does the job. I think that the only slight fault would be that the graphics for features such as acca boost and acca insurance can be slightly blurry on the app; but other than that it is seamless.

VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

Ladbrokes doesn't have a rewards system in place, which is a slight negative, but their acca boost and insurance promotions are among the best available.

They also have a free-to-play football game called 1-2-Free. If you predict three correct scores on selected games, you win £100. It’s worth a go if you’ve got an account!

Pros and cons of Ladbrokes

The welcome bonus of bet £5 and get £20 in free bets is among the best with UK bookmakersThe bet boost feature on certain selections can be minimal. One boost I used changed the selection from 2/1 to 21/10
Two acca boosts and two acca insurances per day is a brilliant offerThe app can lack quality at times

There are a lot of in-depth statistics on sports such as tennis and football

Diving deeper into Ladbrokes

Licensing

Ladbrokes are regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. Their headquarters are in London and in November 2016, they merged with Coral to form Ladbrokes Coral Group. Additionally, they are also licensed by the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA).

Ladbrokes are both IBIA (International Betting Integrity Association) and IBAS (Independent Betting Adjudication Service) approved, further enhancing their reputation.

Payment methods

Ladbrokes’s deposit and withdrawal methods are fairly decent. You can deposit money into your account via: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Paypal, Apple Pay, paysafecard and instant bank payment. The minimum deposit for most of them is £5, while it’s £10 for Paypal. Also, remember that you cannot deposit money into your account with a credit card.

In terms of withdrawals, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Paypal, Apple Pay, paysafecard and instant bank payment are all available.

Security and fairness

Ladbrokes say they meet the highest security standards in the industry, with a five-level security system, multiple firewalls and top encryption.

You can check out Ladbrokes’s customer service protocols on the bottom of their website. The 'help & contact' tab takes you to their FAQs. If you click on a question but you're still not satisfied, then there's an option to get more help.

The 'contact us' options appear which include a live chat as well as private messages on X, Facebook and Instagram. Their email address and phone number is also available.

Responsible gambling measures

Responsible gambling tools sit at the bottom of the Ladbrokes homepage, while there is also a safer gambling message in their carousel of offers at the top. Links to Gamcare and Gambling Therapy are available and you can also use their tools such as a budget calculator, spending controls, self exclusion and even account closure.
