Premier League table ranked by social media followers: Arsenal outside top five
A new study has looked at which Premier League football teams have the strongest social media presence, with Manchester United ranked top of the pile.
The study, conducted by sports betting & casino experts FIRST, looked at Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube, to see which Premier League football team has the strongest presence on each social media platform - and overall.

Manchester United are the team with the strongest social media presence, with a total of 141,036,949 followers across four platforms. Of their social media accounts, they have the most followers on Instagram (@manchesterunited) - with 64,468,605 followers. On X, they have 38,538,344 followers under the handle @manutd. While on TikTok (@manutd) they have 28,300,000, with another 9,730,000 followers on YouTube (manutd).
Manchester City follow in second, with 109,548,960 followers. On Instagram, Manchester City (@mancity) have 55,186,022 followers, while on X (@mancity), they have 17,932,938. On TikTok (@mancity), the Premier League champions have 28,500,000 followers, with 7,930,000 on their YouTube channel (mcfcofficial).
Liverpool rank third, with 104,625,221 followers. Liverpool have the most followers on their Instagram account (@liverpoolfc), with 46,431,182 followers. On X (@lfc), the Premier League leaders have 24,694,039 followers. Their TikTok account (@liverpoolfc) has amassed 22,600,000 followers, with a further 10,900,000 on their YouTube channel (liverpoolfc).

Chelsea place fourth, with 92,356,310 followers. On Instagram (@chelseafc), Chelsea have 42,683,690 followers, with 26,132,620 more on X (@chelseafc). On TikTok (@chelseafc), they have a following of 17,900,000, and on YouTube (chelseafc) they have accumulated 5,640,000 followers.
Rounding out the top five are Tottenham, with 68,054,574 followers. The north London club has a following of 17,223,611 on Instagram (@spursofficial), while on X (@spursofficial) they have 8,890,963 followers. On TikTok (@spursofficial), they have 38,100,000 followers, with 3,840,000 more on YouTube (spursofficial).
Arsenal rank sixth, with 65,238,906 followers. On Instagram (@arsenal), Arsenal have gathered a following of 30,162,009, with 22,556,897 on X (@arsenal). While on TikTok (@arsenal), they have 8,100,000 followers, and a further 4,420,000 on their YouTube channel (arsenal).
Leicester are seventh, with 14,561,595 followers. The shock 2015/16 champions have cultivated a following on Instagram (@lcfc) of 8,000,122, while on X (@lcfc), they have 2,731,473 followers. On TikTok (@lcfc), they have 3,200,000 followers, with 630,000 more on YouTube (lcfc official).
Placed eighth are West Ham, with 14,449,356 followers. Of the four social media platforms, West Ham have the strongest following on TikTok (@westham), with 6,500,000 followers. On Instagram (@westham), they have 4,523,873, with a further 2,728,483 on X (@westham). While on their YouTube (westhamunited) channel, they have 697,000 followers.
Aston Villa are ninth, with 10,916,641 followers. Villa have 4,045,265 followers on Instagram (@avfcofficial), and 2,436,376 on X (@avfcofficial). While on their TikTok (@avfcofficial) account, they have amassed 3,800,000 followers, with 635,000 on YouTube (avfcofficial).
Newcastle complete the top 10, with 10,453,556 followers. The North East club have the most followers on TikTok (@nufc), with 4,000,000 followers, with a further 2,914,345 followers on Instagram (@nufc). On X (@nufc), they have 2,797,212 followers, with 742,000 on their YouTube channel (nufcofficial).
