Europa League latest odds: After play-off draw who are the latest title favourites?

The draw for the 2024/25 knockout phase of the UEFA Europa League has been made to determine this season’s knockout ties with the prize of a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League up for grabs.
Lazio, Athletic Club, Manchester United, Tottenham, Eintracht Frankfurt, Lyon, Olympiacos and Rangers were the eight clubs that automatically advanced to the round of 16 after finishing in the top eight places of the league table.

The play-offs await Bodo/Glimt, Anderlecht, FCSB, Ajax, Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, Roma and Viktoria Plzen as the seeded teams placed 9th to 16th.
The unseeded teams ranked 17th to 24th were Ferencvaros, Porto, AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Royal Union St.Gilloise, PAOK, Twente and Fenerbahçe respectively, who made up the rest of the draw.
So who are the favourites to lift the trophy at the San Mames stadium in Bilbao?
United were the only unbeaten team in the entire league phase of this season’s Europa League, with Mr.Play selecting the Red Devils as the (4/1) favourite to triumph in Spain come May.
Despite a disappointing Premier League campaign for Tottenham, so far this season, Spurs (9/2) are considered the second favourite as they look to end a trophy drought that dates back to 2008.
Athletic Club (5/1) are seen as third-favourites, with Los Leones looking to triumph at their own ground and bring further Spanish success to this competition; as has been so often in the past.
Despite Lazio pipping the Bilbao side to top spot in the league phase on goal difference, the Roman outfit are recognised as the fourth-favourites (13/2) with Mr.Play as Lazio’s only loss came in the final group stage match away to Braga in Portugal.
Another team straight through to the last 16 are Eintracht Frankfurt (10/1). The German club won the competition back in 2021/22 beating the likes of Real Betis, Barcelona and West Ham, to eventually triumph over Rangers in the final three years ago.
Fellow top eight finishers Lyon (14/1), Olympiacos (16/1) and Rangers (33/1) present some big value considering the tough task that these teams had of navigating towards the top eight spots of the table.
Real Sociedad (11/1) are the shortest price of the teams to enter the play-off, as they’ll need to get the better of Danish side Midtjylland before facing either Spurs or United in a tough possible round-of-16 tie.
Roma (14/1) face Porto in perhaps the pick of the play-off matches, before taking on either Athletic Club or possibly Lazio in a Derby della Capitale if they can fight off the Portuguese outfit.
The round-of-16 draw takes place on Friday 21 February, after the play-offs are played over two legs on 13 February and 20 February, and hopefully there are some intriguing ties to come in the latter stages of the competition.
