Swifty Sports launches Swifty Sports IE in Ireland

By Lucy Wynne

Swifty Global, the technology solutions company for the iGaming and sports betting industry has officially launched Swifty Sports in Ireland.

Swifty Sports’ Irish arm is called Swift Sports IE and is now available for Irish punters to place sports bets and to put a dime down on their online casino. The rollout commenced on 12 November 2024.

The launch into Ireland aims to increase shareholder value through its extended reach. Currently, Swifty Sports has licences in the UK, South Africa and a pending licence for Malta.

Swifty Sports expansion into Ireland has come just at the right time, as the rate of online sports betting has been on the rise, driven by factors like the growth of esports betting across Ireland, increased mobile usage and stronger internet connectivity.

Ireland legalised sports betting in 2015 and since then, the Irish iGaming market has expanded exponentially, with the market projected to reach $1.24bn by the end of 2024.

SwiftyGlobal launched their sports betting and casino brand, Swifty Gaming, in September 2022. The company revealed earlier in the year, in January, that they would be entering the Irish market, once they secured their Irish licence.

James Gibbons, CEO at Swifty Global: “We’re thrilled to bring Swifty Sports IE to Ireland, marking an important step in delivering an exceptional sports betting and casino experience for the region. Ireland’s dynamic market presents immense growth potential, and we’re excited to position Swifty Sports IE as a leader in this space.

“With access to hundreds of thousands of sporting events each month, our platform offers a premier experience tailored for the Irish users. Additionally, our ongoing merger with SGN will further strengthen our capabilities, fueling further innovation and value for our users and shareholders alike.”
