He specifically asked promoter Frank Warren to make this match-up in Manchester, which is expected to be his last UK appearance, so it's well worth tuning in to witness this farewell fight.

Derek Chisora: Can ‘WAR’ Chisora score a hat trick?

The two-time world title challenger from Finchley, London, now 41, has won his last two in a row since the one-sided brutal beatdown at the hands of Tyson Fury, who stopped Chisora in the 10th round for a second time, under the famous Wembley arch in 2022.

The heavyweight veteran is a fan-favourite for his pre-fight antics, such as throwing tables at his opponents or simply because of his eccentric statements.

But mostly he’s followed for his aggressive, all-action fighting style. His relentless pressure and persistent punching means every fight becomes a high-octane, exciting slugfest.

And his last fight was no different. He hooked his way to a unanimous decision victory over former WBO interim world champion, Joe Joyce, dropping him in the penultimate 9th round.

Early in his career, Chisora beat the likes of Sam Sexton – twice – and Danny Williams, winning British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight titles.

He has also defeated bigger names on the world stage, such as Kubrat Pulev, David Price, Artur Szpilka, Carlos Takam, Malik Scott and Gerald Washington.

The Londoner has lost to world champions Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Oleksandr Usyk and Fury three times

Trained by Don Charles and ranked IBF #10, Chisora is aiming to bow out of boxing with his head held high and that requires a win at all costs.

Otto Wallin: Can Wallin claw his way back into contention?

34-year-old Swedish southpaw, Otto Wallin, is best known for giving Fury the biggest cut of his career in what was a bad night at the office for ‘The Gypsy King’.

In September 2019, the unheralded Wallin was able to split the skin of the undefeated favourite with a punch in round two of their scheduled 12-round contest in Las Vegas.

The Scandinavian took the fight to Fury and backed the British behemoth up to the ropes on multiple occasions, which is where he was able to inflict a cut on his right eye which later required 47 stitches and plastic surgery.

His only other defeat was to Anthony Joshua, where he was nowhere near as aggressive or positive as he was against Fury.

A little too tentative behind his jab, he waited too long to throw, barely taking a forward step and allowing Joshua to take control of the contest.

Wallin likes to counter-punch but wasn’t able to command any respect in this fight with such negativity and nervousness. Joshua bullied his way to a quick and easy fifth-round retirement win.

He is an all-rounder, able to box and fight. He has exceptional technique, pawing with his southpaw lead hand while his backhand left stays glued to his chin. His movement and footwork is sound too.

Ranked WBC and WBO #11, Wallin comes into this contest off the back of a 48-seconds KO against overmatched opponent, Onoriode Ehwarieme, in his only fight of 2024.

One single overhand left was enough to drop and stop the Nigerian, who got back to his feet, but his legs betrayed him. It was his fifth knockout defeat and third registered in the first round.

He really had no business being in there.

Derek Chisora vs Otto Wallin: The key factors

Tall and rangy, Otto Wallin can keep most of his opponents at a distance, on the end of his jab.

In his 2023 split decision win over former IBF World cruiserweight champion, Murat Gassiev, he broke the record for the most jabs thrown in a heavyweight fight with 873, smashing Vitali Klitschko’s previous record of 749.

However, we are talking about a fight with ‘WAR’ Chisora here, and keeping him away from you is a totally different story. Even Usyk struggled to keep the pressure fighter away from him during the early rounds of their 2020 fight.

He took some big shots from Fury and Joshua, so he possesses a pretty decent chin. And we all know just how tough Chisora is, so it’s difficult to envisage a knockout happening.

Wallin likes to throw a lot of jabs and he possesses excellent footwork, making him a very capable outside fighter.

His game plan will inevitably be to keep the Brit off with a busy jab and to counter whenever openings are presented.

Chisora will do what he’s best at and that’s to walk his man down throwing big shots in close. ‘Del Boy’ will go out on the hunt while Wallin will be using his jab on the backfoot.

Going 30 minutes against a man possessed and obsessed piling raining big punches on you is going to be difficult and taxing for Wallin.

Each man believes their style is made for the other. Wallin is a stand-up-tall straight shooter, so his style is tailor-made for Chisora to slip inside and land overhands and hooks.

Wallin admitted he likes fighting guys like Chisora, but also confessed how tough and strong his opponent is.

Chisora acknowledged that Wallin is a tall opponent with a good jab and likes to move around the ring a lot, but that he’s very excited to fight him.

FIRST’s top tip for Derek Chisora vs Otto Wallin

It’s Chisora’s ‘last dance’, so he is going to be as rough, rugged, ruthless and relentless as ever. Wallin may be a good mover, but ‘WAR’ Chisora is going to be sat on his chest through the contest.

PICK: Derek Chisora to win on points – 100/30 (Betway)
