The Weekly Acca: The best four football bets to combine today

Before we all start panicking about how we haven’t got Christmas presents for half the family, we’ve got another acca to get stuck into. La Liga and the Bundesliga play their last games before the winter break and here at FIRST, we’ve got four value plays.

Leg 1 – Bayer Leverkusen to beat Freiburg & over 2.5 goals @ 43/50 [Saturday 5.30pm]

Xabi Alonso's side have won their last seven games and they can close the gap on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich with a win at home against fifth-placed Freiburg.

Leverkusen have a great home record (won four, drawn two, lost one) and they host a Freiburg side who are winless in their last four away games.

All signs point to a home win and we're also chucking in over 2.5 goals, which has landed in six of Leverkusen and Freiburg's last eight games combined.

Leg 2 – Atletico Madrid to score vs Barcelona @ 3/10 [Saturday 8pm]

Saturday night sees La Liga leaders Barcelona host second-placed Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona, who are ahead of Atletico on goal difference, are clinging on to top spot with Hansi Flick's side winning just one of their last five league games, including a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Leganes.

Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, have won their last 11 games in all competitions.

Instead of siding with Diego Simeone's side to pull off a huge win before the winter break, there's value in backing Atletico Madrid to score. They've netted 12 times in their last four La Liga outings so expect them to cause Barcelona problems.

Leg 3 – Real Madrid to beat Sevilla & over 2.5 goals @ 18/25 [Sunday 3.15pm]

Real Madrid host Sevilla on Sunday and with Barcelona and Atletico set to take points off each other, Carlo Ancelotti's side can close the gap or even go top of La Liga.

Real Madrid, who won the Intercontinental Cup in the week after beating Mexican club Pachuca, have the second-best home record after winning seven of their eight Bernabeu clashes. They've also scored 20 times in that period.

Sevilla are 11th in La Liga and they've struggled to find form. They've lost three of their last four away games and they will struggle to contain Real Madrid's superstars.

We're on a home win but also siding with over 2.5 goals, which has landed in four of Real Madrid's last five games.

Leg 4 – Liverpool to beat Tottenham @ 59/100 [Sunday 4.30pm]

Finally, we’re in London for Tottenham vs Liverpool in the Premier League.

We're keeping this one simple and backing Liverpool to win. The Reds, who rested their stars against Southampton in the Carabao Cup, have been brilliant under Arne Slot and they've lost just once in the league.

Tottenham, who will face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, edged past Manchester United in a 4-3 thriller on Thursday. All of their key players started and it could have taken a lot out of them.

Spurs have been hit and miss in the league (won seven, drawn two, lost seven) so it's easy to side with a Liverpool victory.
