The best craps casino in the UK reviewed by FIRST.com’s experts

Let’s start with a detailed look at the best UK casinos to play online craps in the UK.

Unibet casino review UK

This reputable casino and bookmaker launched in 1999 – but it’s no dinosaur, offering many high-tech innovations.

Withdrawals are instant, for example, whether using debit cards, e-wallets or online banks like Revolut. Unibet is also the best mobile casino for craps in the UK – its impressive Android and iOS apps are rated 2.2* and 4.7* by regulars.

Live support is 24/7 and there are two craps options – one live and one RNG – powered by Evolution.

Pros and Cons

✅ Receive instant payouts

✅ Best native mobile apps

✅ Live chat available 24/7

✅ Long-standing reputation

❌ Can’t play without verifying

Free spins welcome bonus

Grosvenor Casino review UK

There’s one craps game at Grosvenor Casino – Evolution’s live offering. Splash around from as little as £0.50, with high rollers capped at £1,000 per bet.

New registrants get a registration offer worth up to £50. However, use those bonus funds to play craps online, and it won’t count for wagering purposes.

Craps is available on the Grosvenor Casino mobile apps, which receive mixed reviews. The App Store software scores 4.2*, but the Android software only has a 2.5* rating.

Pros and Cons

✅ Craps bets from 50p–£1,000

✅ Minimum deposit of just £5

✅ Highly-rated native iOS app

✅ Plenty of ongoing bonuses

❌ Only offers live dealer craps

❌ Craps ineligible for wagering

7bet casino review UK

This UK craps casino is a Betnero sister site, so you’ll notice similarities. Neither offers a mobile app, for instance. Nor do they have live craps casino games.

A key difference is 7bet only has two craps games in its 1,900-strong library. These are provided by Play’n GO and Evolution.

It provides a fantastic selection of banking methods, though, with debit cards, Neosurf vouchers and e-wallets. The transaction limits are reasonable, too, with same day withdrawals from just £10.

Pros and Cons

✅ Quality craps providers

✅ Low £10 transaction limits

✅ Convenient payment methods

✅ Same-day casino payouts

❌ No live dealer craps options

❌ Doesn’t offer a mobile app

MrQ casino review UK

This unique casino features the simplest layout I’ve seen for ages, and few online craps sites in the UK are as user-friendly. Games load quickly, the registration process is straightforward and navigation is a breeze.

MrQ is packed with regular promotions, like the friend referral reward and social media giveaways. However, my favourite is the payout guarantee – if they don’t process your withdrawal instantly, you get £10.

There’s just one online craps game here, but it’s the best on the market – Evolution’s Craps Live.

Pros and Cons

✅ Plenty of ongoing promotions

✅ Simple and uncluttered design

✅ Guaranteed instant payouts

✅ Rated 4.0 by Trustpilot users

❌ Maximum bet of just £100

❌ Signup bonus not for craps

Mr Vegas casino review UK

With five craps options among a library of more than 9,200 games, Mr Vegas is one of the UK’s biggest online casinos.

It would surely rank higher on our list if it didn’t look so old and dated. A native mobile app would also improve its score.

Still, there are plenty of upsides, not least the sizable selection of secure casino payment methods. Deposit from just £10, receive same-day payouts and collect a welcome bonus of up to £200.

Pros and Cons

✅ Hefty £200 welcome bonus

✅ 5 craps options including live

✅ 9,200+ more casino games

✅ Almost instant withdrawals

❌ Website looks old and tired

❌ No mobile apps available

Luckster casino review UK

There’s only one craps game at Luckster, supplied by Play’n GO. Still, you can effectively stake whatever you like, with limits of £0.50 to £5,000.

Although Luckster lacks Evolution games, it has a lot going for it. There are other dice games in the live casino, like Dice City and Super Sic Bo, plus a generous £200 casino welcome bonus.

Withdraw instantly via debit card, rapid bank transfer and four different e-wallets, such as PayPal, Neteller and Skrill.

Pros and Cons

✅ £200 + 100 spins signup bonus

✅ Wide ranging craps bet limits

✅ 24/7 live customer support

✅ Instant casino withdrawals

❌ Craps excluded from wagering

❌ Lacks live dealer craps games

Betnero casino review

Founded in 2025, Betnero has quickly become our favourite UK craps online casino. It offers three different games, supplied by two of the industry’s best-known providers – Evolution and Play’n GO.

The betting limits cater for casual players and high rollers, starting at 50p, and rising to £5,000.

Kick things off with a 100% deposit match bonus, which can be used to play craps. Then secure weekly cashback from 5% and 20%, depending on your loyalty status.

Pros and Cons

✅ New site launched in 2025

✅ Craps games by top providers

✅ Betting limits from 50p–£5,000

✅ Up to 20% weekly cashback

❌ No live dealer craps table

❌ Live chat hours are limited

10bet casino review Uk

Offering craps online since 2003, this reputable casino is among the most user-friendly around. The design is clean and easy to navigate, with an intuitive layout and several handy filters in the lobby.

The £50 welcome bonus is a solid offer. However, the one craps game here – First Person Craps by Evolution – only contributes 10% to the wagering requirement.

10bet has a native app for iOS and Android, but it’s not as well-regarded as Unibet and QuinnBet.

Pros and Cons

✅ Best all-round user experience

✅ Native Android and iOS apps

✅ Low £5 minimum withdrawal

✅ Leading casino since 2003

❌ Only has one craps game

❌ No VIP or loyalty program

Lord Ping Casino review

Our final online craps casino is LordPing, which debuted in 2020, but still flies under many people’s radar.

It’s a SkillOnNet casino, so you’re guaranteed a user-friendly platform, plenty of rewarding bonuses and over 8,200 games. Among them are five craps options, supplied by Evolution, Play’n GO and Edict.

The maximum bet for Evolution’s live dealer craps game is low – bets are capped at just £5. Although the £50 welcome offer is decent, craps contributes just 10% to the bonus terms.

Pros and Cons

✅ 5 live and RNG craps options

✅ Huge library of 8,200+ games

✅ Up to £50 bonus for new players

✅ User-friendly SkillOnNet platform

❌ Live help unavailable from 12–6am

❌ Craps bonus contribution just 10%

QuinnBet casino review UK

Launched in 2017, QuinnBet has slowly improved its casino over the years. You’ll now find Evolution games in the library, including Craps Live and First Person Craps.

The wager limits are wide, too – bet from just 50p, with an upper limit of £1,000.

QuinnBet is one of the best mobile craps casinos for UK players – its quality iOS software is rated 4.6* in the App Store. However, the Android equivalent needs work – it only scores 3.1*.

Pros and Cons

✅ Live dealer craps by Evolution

✅ Payouts processed same-day

✅ £10 minimum transactions

✅ Impressive iOS mobile app

❌ Limited choice of payments

❌ Craps ineligible for cashback

What is craps and how do you play?

Craps is a dice game. The numbers thrown are used to settle various bets. Newcomers are often intimidated, as it looks chaotic. However, it’s not that complicated once you get into it. It’s even easier to play a craps game online – there’s no need to worry about rolling the dice.

What is craps and how do you play?

Come Out

A round begins with the “come out” roll. A Pass Line or prop bet is required to play.

After betting closes, the dice are rolled, and one of two things happens.

  • If the outcome is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, that number is established as the “Point”. We then enter a second phase of the game.

  • Should the shooter throw 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12, bets are resolved and the round is over. The next throw is a new come out roll.

No Point Established

Where no point is established, Pass Line bets can be settled:

  • If the shooter rolls 7 and 11, this is a “natural” – Don’t Pass loses and Pass bets win.

  • A 2, 3 or 12 is called “craps” – the shooter has “crapped out”. Pass Line bets lose and Don’t Pass wins.

Most craps casinos in the UK treat 12 as a push – check the rules before you start.

Point Established

If a point is set, Pass Line bets remain on the table and we move to the next phase. The shooter must now roll the point number before rolling a 7.

Doing so means Pass Line bets win and Don’t Pass wagers lose.

The opposite is true if they “seven out” – rolling 7 before the point number. Don’t Pass wins and Pass bets lose.

Table Layout

Whether playing craps online or off, the betting layout looks the same. It’s split into several sections, with prop bets in the middle, and the remaining wagers on either side.

To bet, place your chips in the relevant section on the craps table before the shooter rolls.

Understanding craps betting options - line bets

Pass Line bets are placed before the come out roll. Both Pass and Don’t Pass pay 1:1 if they win.

However, the Don't Pass bet has a lower house edge. That’s because 12 is usually classed as a push, so you don’t lose your stake.

Once a point is established, Pass Line bets are no longer available. Instead, you can bet on the “Come”.

This works the same as the Pass Line – you win if the next roll is 7 or 11, but lose if it’s 2, 3 or 12. Any other number establishes a second point.

Bet name Payout House edge
Pass Line or Come 1:1 1.41%
Don’t Pass or Don’t Come 1:1 1.36%

Odds bets

Once a point is established, you can place more money on existing Pass Line or Come wagers.

“Taking Odds” says the point will be rolled before a 7. Place your chips behind the Pass Line or Come bet.

“Laying Odds” is the opposite – you expect the shooter to seven out. Put your chips on top of the existing bet.

Odds bets have no house edge, so they’re extremely popular – that’s why there’s a size limit on these bets, which depends on the point:

  • 4 or 10 – 3x the Pass Line bet

  • 5 or 9 – 4x the bet

  • 6 or 8 – 5x the bet

Bet name Payout House edge
Taking Odds 4 or 10 2:1 0%
Taking Odds 5 or 9 3:2 0%
Taking Odds 6 or 8 6:5 0%
Laying Odds 4 or 10 1:2 0%
Laying Odds 5 or 9 2:3 0%
Laying Odds 6 or 8 5:6 0%

Place bets

Place Bets say your chosen number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) will appear before a 7. If it does, you’re paid according to the table.

They can be made any time – a point doesn’t have to be established.

Alternatively, you can Lay, or “Don’t Place”. Here, the opposite is true – if the shooter rolls a 7 before your number, you win.

A section of the layout is reserved for two special craps bets, called “Big 6” and “Big 8”. Ignore these – they’re the same as Place 6 and 8, but with inferior odds.

Bet name Payout House edge
Place 4 and 10 9:5 6.67%
Place 5 and 9 7:5 4.00%
Place 6 and 8 7:6 1.52%
Lay 4 and 10 1:2 4.00%
Lay 5 and 9 2:3 3.23%
Lay 6 and 8 5:6 4.00%
Big 6 or Big 8 1:1 9.09%

Field bets

Betting on the Field is perhaps the simplest craps wager, as it’s always resolved on the next roll. It covers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in one bet – if any of those are rolled, you win.

The payout is 1:1 for 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11, but it’s bigger for 2 and 12. Most casinos pay 2:1, but some offer 3:1.

Field bets lose if the next result is 5, 6, 7 or 8.

Bet name Payout House edge
Field Bet 2 or 12 1:1 5.56%
Field Bet 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11 2:1 or 3:1 (varies by casino) 5.56% or 2.78%

Proposition bets

Props can be placed whether a point has been set or not, and are settled on the next roll. These craps bets have the worst house edge – play for fun if you like, but don’t expect a long-term profit.

The “Horn” combines four props into one. If 2 or 12 rolls, you get the usual 30:1, with 15:1 for 3 or 11.

“Hardways” requires a double – 6 “the hard way” means 3 on both dice, as opposed to 5 and 1, or 2 and 4.

Bet name Payout House edge
Any Craps (2, 3 or 12) 7:1 11.11%
Any 7 4:1 16.67%
Aces (2) 30:1 13.89%
Boxcars (12) 30:1 13.89%
Ace Deuce (3) 15:1 11.11%
Yo Eleven (11) 15:1 11.11%
Horn (2, 3, 11, 12) 12.50%
Hardways 4 or 10 7:1 11.11%
Hardways 6 or 8 9:1 9.09%

Craps strategy for UK players

With the craps odds explained, it’s time to look at playing strategies.

Craps strategy for UK players

Avoid prop bets

They might be entertaining, but everyone should ignore proposition bets. The high house edge means you lose too much.

Hardways 6 and 8 are the best – the casino “only” has a 9.09% advantage.

Any 7 has a house edge of 16.67% – it’s among the worst bets in the entire casino.

Big 6 and Big 8 should also be avoided – they do the same job as Place 6 and 8, but the payout is lower.

Stick to Don’t Pass

As a beginner, the best craps betting strategy is to simply bet Don’t Pass.

Pass Line bets are the easiest to understand, and usually last multiple rolls. This prolongs your bankroll, giving more play for your money, while helping you learn the game.

Both bets are fine, but Don’t Pass has a marginally better house edge.

Capitalise on odds bets

This is for intermediate players who already understand the mechanics of online craps.

Once a point is established, you can place extra chips on Pass Line and Come bets. These “Odds” bets offer a true payout, with zero house edge.

That doesn’t guarantee you’ll win, obviously. But eliminating the house edge maximises your profit if you do.

Optimal craps betting strategy

The best way to play online craps is by following optimal strategy.

This involves an initial Don’t Pass bet, before laying the maximum odds once the point is set.

Don’t Pass has the lowest house edge possible. Then you maximise the potential returns with a sizable bet paid at the true odds.

Live dealer craps vs RNG craps

Live dealer craps vs RNG craps

There are two ways to play online craps in the UK:

  • Live dealer – A human uses physical equipment to determine the results. The action is broadcast from a dedicated studio set in almost real time.

  • RNG Games – Traditional online casino craps powered by pseudo-random number generator software, with animated graphics.

There’s no doubt that live casino games are more sociable – you can chat to the dealer and players. However, you must wait for others to bet, slowing things down.

RNG craps games have smaller minimum bet limits, as the casino’s operational costs are lower. They’re also 24/7, which isn’t true of all live dealer tables.

Real equipment generates truly random outcomes, as opposed to pseudo-random computer algorithms. It provides an authentic feel, removing the suspicion of players who don’t trust animated results.

Technical failures are possible with live casino craps. They’re rare, but they cause delays.

The history of craps

Humans have played dice games for thousands of years – archaeologists have found symbols carved into bones from 5,000 BCE. The earliest known ancestor of craps, though, is a game called Hazard. It’s thought to have been invented by Sir William of Tyre during the Crusades, around 1125.

The history of craps

Ongoing evolution

Whatever its origins, it quickly spread throughout medieval Europe. By the 1700s, the French were calling it “crapauds”, meaning “toad” – supposedly due to the crouched positions taken up by players in street games.

It landed in North America – specifically New Orleans – by the early 1800s. Here, the name was shortened to “craps”, and the rules further simplified.

The emergence of Mississippi riverboat gambling helped spread its popularity, particularly among the working classes.

Modern standardisation

1907 is a key milestone in craps history, as John H. Winn standardised the rules. He’s the man responsible for introducing the Don’t Pass option to counter rigged games.

The popularity of modern craps was further cemented by Las Vegas casinos in the 1930s, followed by online casinos in more recent times.

Legal situation with playing craps online in the UK

Legal situation with playing craps online in the UK

It’s perfectly legal to play online craps for real money – if the casino is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.

Players must also be 18 years old, verified by registering with the casino. This requires the submission of identity documents, such as a passport, plus proof of residence, like utility bills.

Responsible craps gambling

Responsible craps gambling

It’s important to stay in control when gambling. Our responsible sports betting also applies to casino games like craps – apply it wisely.

Craps is a fast-moving, action-packed game, so it’s easy to lose track of time. Luckily, the best craps casinos in the UK offer player protection tools like session reminders.

It’s also possible to configure deposit limits, which help preserve your bankroll, or more stringent measures, if required. Take a break with temporary time-outs, and even permanent self-exclusion.
