Betfred customer wins over £11m on Mega Moolah slot from £1.50 stake

One lucky online casino player turned a £1.50 stake into a win worth £11,498,211.89 on Betfred, a UK sports betting and casino company. 

The player, who had only recently registered to play online with the company, won the life-changing amount whilst playing the popular online slot Mega Moolah.

This is the biggest payout Betfred has ever done in its 58-year history and the lucky player was over the moon when he won. 

Choosing to remain anonymous, the player said: “It’s still sinking in!

“I’ve been a horse racing punter my whole life and hit the cross bar a few times with some of my accas but obviously never hit the jackpot like this. It was the missus' idea that we gave the casino a go and we certainly got lucky!”

It was revealed he opened a Betfred account after a family night out on Wednesday, July 4 and then proceeded to spin the safari-themed slot. 

The owner of the Betfred company, Fred Done, added: “I had a good chat with our record winner and when I found out he was a Man United fan I invited him to be my special guest at a home game. 

“He’s also a sensible chap and he’s going to invest some of his winnings into houses for his family, but not before going on a holiday of a lifetime.

The payout is more than double the previous record that Betfred had paid out at £5.4 million back in 2023, which was won by Michael Clark from Newcastle.
