Betfred launches online slots progressive jackpot tracker

Gaming giant Betfred has announced the launch of a new app that tracks the progressive jackpots available on games across its portfolio of sites and casinos.

Betfred offers 10 progressive jackpots across its slots, with some of those jackpots linked to multiple games.

The tracker lists all 10 jackpots, as well as the games they are linked to, and enables players to click through to each game to try their hand. Currently, the biggest jackpot listed is the Mega Moolah, which stands at an impressive £10.4million. That, along with the Jackpot Giant £6.6m progressive prize, would represent the company’s biggest ever progressive jackpot payout if won by a Betfred customer.

The Mega Moolah Slot Wheel regularly takes the top spot for featuring the biggest progressive prizes. It saw the biggest ever jackpot prize paid to a player when a lucky Mega Moolah player bagged an €18.9m (£15.9m) first prize in 2018. The last time the prize was won was in October 2024, when the bettor walked away with $3.6m (£2.7m). In total, the progressive jackpot was won five times in 2024.

A total of 90 wins have been recorded, and the prize resets to £1m every time somebody takes the prize. Because it hasn’t been won in over six months now, the jackpot has climbed to £10.4m.

Mega Moolah is available on Betfred Games, Casino, and Vegas websites, and the main prize would represent the largest jackpot ever paid to a Betfred player. Similarly, the Jackpot Giant prize, which currently stands at £6.5m, would also see the winner installed as Betfred’s biggest winner.

The record for the biggest Betfred jackpot currently stands at £5.4m, which was paid to a King Kong Cashpots Jackpot King player in January 2023. Other major wins have seen players take £5.1m from Beach Life, £4.3m from Deal or No Deal Bankers Boost Jackpot King, £1.35m from MegaJackpots Siberian Storm, and £1.3m from MegaJackpots Cleopatra.

Two other progressives that currently sit above the magic million pound mark are Gladiator (£1.05m) and Jackpot King (£1m). Both jackpots are available at multiple machines across the Betfred network.

Betfred launched as a single betting shop in Salford in 1967. It was financed by founder Fred Done’s bet on England winning the World Cup in 1966. By the turn of the millennium, Done Bookmakers had acquired Robert Walker betting shops and seen its portfolio of bookmaker sites rise to 200 shops.

In 2004, Done Bookmakers changed its name to Betfred and launched its first online platform. Today, the business has more than 1,300 betting shops, and the company has expanded into the US, where it is active in 10 regulated states.

Betfred has also developed a presence in the South African market, and it continues to expand its business both offline and online. The group is one of the largest sponsors of horse racing events in the UK. Most notably, it is the sponsor for the Midlands National, Dante Stakes, Ebor Handicap, and the Cesarewitch Handicap.
