Hacksaw Gaming launches Rad Maxx online slot to the UK market
Online casino game maker Hacksaw Gaming has officially launched its latest slot machine Rad Maxx, and it will be available at the company’s UK online casino partners. The game’s main characters, Maxx and Ro$$ featured in Hacksaw Gaming’s earlier online slot title, RIP City.
The game itself uses the same graffiti-style cartoon design. Symbols pay out if matched in any direction on the 5x5 grid, depending on which arrows are lit up during the spin. The game is classified as medium-high volatility and has an RTP of 96.32%. Symbols include cards 10 through Ace, which are the lower-paying symbols. Higher paying symbols include a mouse, pizza slice, banana, fish bones, and a first aid symbol. Ro$$’s face also features in the game with the symbols multiplying any winnings.

Hacksaw Gaming launched in 2017 and creates instant win games, scratchcards, and slot machines for the online casino market. They are an award-winning agency and, in February 2023, they announced the launch of their content distribution platform, OpenRGS. Via OpenRGS, Hacksaw Gaming partners with independent game makers to help launch their products to market.
Hacksaw Gaming is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, Isle of Man Gambling Supervisory Commission, and the UK Gambling Commission and has an extensive presence in the UK market. In 2023 they signed deals with 888, William Hill, and BetMGM, while also expanding into the European market.
In June 2024, a partnership between Hacksaw Gaming and Rank UK was announced, which was soon followed by a deal with Sky Betting & Gaming at the end of the year.
At the time of the deal, Sky Betting & Gaming’s content manager, Joseph Williams, said: “We’re elated about this new collaboration and can’t wait to see what the future holds. With a partner as innovative and renowned as Hacksaw Gaming, we’re confident our players will love the exciting variety these games bring to our platform.”
Rad Maxx follows on from the success of RIP City, which launched on 5 January 2023 and went on to win critical and player acclaim.
While the original game used an expanding symbol feature to draw players in, the sequel dispenses with this feature and instead offers 360 paylines, giving the games different playstyles. Whereas most machines payout for horizontal lines from left to right, Rad Maxx pays out in both directions as well as up for vertical lines.
The new game benefits from Hacksaw Gaming’s distinctive visual style, combining bright colours with graffiti-style artwork. Rad Maxx is a mobile-first design, so it will run well on mobile casino apps as well as browser-based sites.
There is a bonus buy variant of the game available, which will not be made available to UK players. Bonus buy slots enable players to buy bonuses, potentially allowing for bigger wins. However, the UKGC prohibited the offering of this feature to UK players in 2019 in a bid to safeguard bettors. A UK-friendly non-bonus-buy variant is also available, and this is the version that will be available in the domestic market.
