Mindway AI and BetComply team up to lead the charge towards effective safer gambling tools

Award-winning safer gambling software developer Mindway AI has joined forces with iGaming regulatory organisation BetComply in an effort to efficiently and effectively tackle problem gambling. 

Announced via an official press release on the BetComply website, this move seeks to enhance and refine the services offered by both entities.

BetComply safer gambling and sustainability specialist Jez White will oversee collaborative operations and supply guidance on how to appropriately integrate Mindway AI products on operator platforms. White’s team will also be on hand to provide assistance throughout this endeavour. 

This marks one of White’s debut tasks as a leader at BetComply, having joined the organisation following eight successful years with Entain in March. He served as director of player protections and systems while working for the Ladbrokes owner – so his role as the head of this partnership fits neatly.

Moreover, Mindway AI will benefit from BetComply-led roadmap management and business-to-business relations – as both groups seek to leverage Mindway AI’s GameScanner product. 

GameScanner is an online software tool that targets the early warning signs tied to problem gambling. By applying “AI, neuroscientific insights and expert assessments”, this technology is capable of alerting operators to potentially harmful behaviour before a serious risk escalation.

The innovative safer gambling technology is built on over a decade of research and in-depth assessments. According to publicly-released Mindway AI statistics, GameScanner has successfully detected “at least 87% of problem cases” since its inception.

Operators who opt to utilise GameScanner will gain access to a comprehensive dashboard comprising key points of interest. Specifically, this panel displays the ‘risk’ level attached to the platform’s player base – providing vital information derived from intricate algorithms. 

Using a tool known as ‘Explainable AI’, automatic notifications then clarify certain outcomes included in GameScanner’s dashboard reports. 

Several online betting operators have already incorporated GameScanner, including Betr, Entain, Evoke and Bet25. Now, Mindway AI plans to benefit from additional partnerships as a result of BetComply’s deep industry nous.
