Platipus Gaming launches Multihand Blackjack VIP table game

Leading online casino game studio Platipus Gaming has launched the latest in its series of table games, Multihand Blackjack VIP. The game offers classic blackjack play with a multihand twist, enabling bettors to play three hands at once. 

Typical blackjack rules apply, with wins paid at 1:1 and blackjacks paid at 3:2. Players can double down on the first two cards in their hand to receive one more card, or split a hand that consists of a matching pair and play them as separate hands.

Insurance is also offered if the dealer is showing an Ace – it pays 2:1 if the dealer draws a blackjack on that hand. In terms of specific game mechanics, Platipus has added Rebet, which repeats the number of hands and the last stakes, making it quicker and easier to keep playing. 

As is true with other games in the VIP table game series, Multihand Blackjack VIP is an immersive recreation of the original game with chilled background music. 

The game uses eight standard decks of cards; in this case, and assuming a standard blackjack betting strategy, this means a low house edge of around 0.6%. This low house edge is one of the reasons blackjack has become popular at casinos, despite its relatively low payout potential. There are no big jackpots here. 

In standard play, the most a single hand can win is the 3:2 payout on blackjack, although insurance bets technically pay out more.
