The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has partnered with Bluehouse Technology to update its global integrity monitoring network.

Part of IBIA’s longer-term strategy of investing in technology, is to strengthen its fight against betting-related manipulation. This latest tech update, developed alongside Bluehouse Technology, will provide the integrity body and its members with enhanced safeguarding tools, to protect regulated betting markets.

Bluehouse will be tasked to streamline the identification process and reporting of suspicious betting activity; unlocking faster response times to prevent any potential integrity threats.

The amplified monitoring capacity will be aided by improved data analysis and alert data streams for key stakeholders, including gambling regulators; fostering a deeper connection within the overall industry.

Sharmila Pillai, director of the Cambridge-based Bluehouse Technology, said: “We are thrilled to have worked closely with IBIA to develop this new monitoring and alert platform. Our team worked hard to ensure the project was completed on time and within budget and we are pleased that it has passed a rigorous independent security audit by a leading testing and certification company.”

Replacing IBIA’s Jira-based platform, the new system is set to further leverage the firm’s anti-corruption operations, which scan for potential threats from transactional activity linked to individual customer accounts.

The new platform provides many important technological advancements to assist that process, which have passed an independent security audit from Bullet, a subsidiary of the global standards body Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, added: “IBIA’s new integrity technology platform provides enhanced functionality and greatly improves our ability to analyse our members’ customer account level data, which covers over $300bn (£236.7m) in betting transactions annually, to identify and report suspicious betting activity.

“The upgrade allows us to provide a technological platform that keeps pace with the integrity requirements of our growing membership and the scope and scale of the market data we receive across our wider intelligence network. It will be a key pillar in our ongoing efforts to protect the integrity of sporting events and regulated sports betting markets globally.”
