Norwich City manager odds: Jack Wilshere favourite ahead of former England manager and ex-Premier League bosses
Norwich City are on the lookout for a new manager after sacking Johannes Hoff Thorup with the club languishing in 14th place in the Championship with just two games remaining until the end of the season.
Jack Wilshere has taken temporary charge for the two remaining matches away to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday and hosting Cardiff City at Carrow Road in their final fixture of the 2024/25 campaign.

Norwich can’t be relegated to England’s third tier but can’t finish any higher than 12th place with the possibility of playoffs and passage to the Premier League long gone.
BetVictor have been speculating as to who will be next in the Yellows hotseat.
The aforementioned Wilshere will take charge of the team and he’s been installed as the early favourite to get the job on a permanent basis (5/4). However, it may be seen as a risk to appoint the 33-year-old given his lack of managerial experience to date.
Russell Martin, sacked by Southampton in the Premier League after promotion from the Championship in his most recent job, is second-favourite (2/1) and knows the club well having played for the Canaries for nearly a decade during his playing career.
Will Still (5/1) would be an intriguing choice, as the Belgian-born manager can speak fluent English after his parents previously left the UK to live in Belgium. The 32-year-old would have to leave France and his current employer, having managed there for three years at Stade de Reims and with current club RC Lens.
Former Ipswich loanee Liam Rosenior (6/1) is another young coach managing in France, in charge at Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg since July. The 40-year-old left Norwich’s Championship rivals Hull City after narrowly missing out on the playoffs previously with the Tigers.
Gary O’Neil (12/1) is another former City player, who played for the club between 2014 and 2016, and has now been linked with the job at Carrow Road. The 41-year-old previously managed both Bournemouth and Wolves in the Premier League in his two managerial jobs to date.
Steve Cooper (14/1) is another out-of-work manager who was last in the top tier with Leicester City. The 45-year-old’s sacking by the Foxes now appears harsh, given the Canaries will be lining up against them in the Championship next season.
Everton yielded the axe on Sean Dyche (16/1) in January so it’s no surprise to see his name be linked with the vacancy in Norfolk. Having had success at Championship level with Burnley, City’s directors may crave something similar if they gave him the job.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is among a plethora of potential candidates at (20/1) after his Saudi adventure came to an end at the start of the year, so he may be tempted by a return to Britain in his next managerial job.
Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney (25/1) last managed a Championship club, Plymouth Argyle, but his two most recent stints in the second tier with Argyle and Birmingham City shouldn’t be enough to land him the role at Carrow Road.
