But that’s not to say there isn’t a strong selection of sports bets on offer too, because there certainly is. A full range of sports can be found in the sports section of the site, and there’s plenty to get stuck into. One surprising omission is greyhound racing, but that aside, Tote’s sports betting selection is pretty strong.

User experience and interface

The Tote website is nicely put together, and takes a different approach to a sports betting website. Horse racing has its own tab, and its own section on the site, with the rest of the sports betting options listed under ‘sports’. It shows Tote’s focus on horse racing remains as strong as ever, but the sports betting site is clean and easy to navigate. 

Mobile and app compatibility

Tote’s app is one of the best we’ve reviewed in terms of its design and ease of use. Like its website, the main focus is its pool betting, and racing in particular, but you can easily bounce between pool betting and fixed-odds betting on the app, with the home icon taking you to the racing pool betting, and the sports icon linking into the main sports betting area of the app. The app has outstanding reviews on the two major app stores, too.
