Bodo Glimt vs Tottenham tips and predictions: Can Spurs take a huge leap towards salvaging their subpar season?
Bodo Glimt state of play
The Norwegians’ poor run in European away fixtures continued with a 3-1 defeat in north London last Thursday.
Glimt have now lost five of their eight matches on the road in the Europa League this term, winning only one in the process.

Manager Kjetil Knutsen will be grateful to see his side return to their own patch, where they’ve looked a much stronger outfit.
In fact, a 2-1 defeat to Qarabag in November marks the only time Glimt have failed to win on home soil in the Europa League ahead of Spurs’ visit on Thursday.
Tottenham state of play
The hosts’ strong record at home shows there’s still plenty of work to do for Spurs in Norway, particularly considering their own struggles in away fixtures.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have won just two of their last 10 games on their travels in all competitions, though they have won two of their previous three in the Europa League.
Spurs also kept a rare clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Frankfurt in the previous round which sealed a spot in the semi-finals.
A similarly watertight performance at the back is needed if they are to finish the job and secure a spot in the final later this month, but don’t hold your breath.
Key talking point: Can Glimt continue their impressive home record to overturn the first leg result?
Glimt may not have fared well on away soil in this competition, but they’re a different beast in front of their own fans.
As mentioned, the Norwegians have failed to win at the Aspmyra Stadion on just one occasion so far while maintaining a 100% scoring record.

They’ve also scored over 2.5+ goals in four of their seven home matches in the Europa League ahead of the visit of a Spurs side with a measly four clean sheets across 13 games in the competition.
In fairness, Glimt have been far from impenetrable themselves, having kept just three clean sheets across their own Europa League outings.
Putting all of this together, more goals surely lie in wait ahead of an intriguing match-up on Thursday evening which will go a long way to defining Postecoglou’s tenure in north London.

Team news
Glimt’s hopes of overturning last week’s results are boosted by the return of captain Patrick Berg, Hakon Evjen and Andreas Helmersen, all of whom were suspended for last week’s first leg.
Questions remain over the fitness of centre-back Odin Bjortuft though, who was absent in north London due to a groin injury.
Meanwhile, Spurs have been dealt a couple of injury blows since the first meeting.
Midfielder Lucas Bergvall is expected to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, while James Maddison could also miss the second leg after injuring his knee last week.
The aforementioned Solanke also missed Spurs’ draw at West Ham due to a knock but is expected to return to the pitch in Norway.
