Our South American expert Nathan Joyes dives into domestic action across the continent this weekend, plucking out an inviting 8/1 acca. From a red hot corner bet in Brazil to a goal fest in Ecuador, take a look at his four best picks.

Leg 1: Fortaleza to win vs Juventude @ 4/6 (Saturday 8PM)

It has been a difficult start to the season for both of these sides, but while one continues to struggle on the road, the other has potentially turned a corner.

Fortaleza hammered Colo Colo 4-0 at home midweek, ending a seven match winless streak but also extended their unbeaten run to five in the process.

At Castelao, where they went their whole 2024 campaign unbeaten, Fortaleza have proven difficult to beat despite their off-field troubles.

A 2-0 win against Fluminense was followed up with a 0-0 draw with title contenders Internacional, while a narrow 2-1 defeat against big spenders Palmeiras was nothing to be worried about. Juventude will present the easiest task to date - and Fortaleza can sign off their week in style.

Juventude have now lost their last five away matches, conceding 14 goals in the process. It hasn’t been pretty, and having conceded nine in their last two trips on the road, Fortaleza can pull them apart on their big pitch.

Leg 2: Deportes Limache +1 Asian handicap vs Colo Colo @ 69/100 (Saturday 8PM)

Colo Colo head into their crucial cup match in poor form. Having won just one of their last eight matches, including back-to-back defeats in the league and Copa Libertadores, head coach Jorge Almiron is treading on thin ice.

A 4-0 defeat midweek in Brazil against Fortaleza was far from ideal - and with fans reaching for their pitchforks, Almiron may be a result away from receiving his P45. His side will face Limache for the third time this season - a team that beat them only last weekend 1-0 in the league and drew 2-2 in the cup.

On their 3G pitch, Limache used their home advantage perfectly, and their first half strike was good enough to get them three key points. Colo Colo missed from the penalty spot in the second half, but aside from that, offered very little.

With the pressure on the visitors, Limache can make life difficult for Colo Colo once more.

Leg 3: Atlético Mineiro vs Fluminense over 9.5 corners @ 18/25 (Sunday 9.30PM)

Both Atlético Mineiro and Fluminense head into round eight on the back of victories, and while the visitors have performed above expectations, this looks to be a tricky trip. Flu have only won one of their three away matches, while Mineiro remain unbeaten at home across all competitions.

Galo have dominated the corner count - in particular when they’ve struggled to win. In their draws against Sao Paulo and Vitoria, Mineiro produced 12 and 16 corners respectively.

Throw in a total of 12 when they edged past Botafogo 1-0, Mineiro are a side that look to exploit the width with their 4-3-3 formation.

Fluminense can chip in themselves, having averaged four corners per match from their three away games to date. The hosts can ramp up their total all on their own - but the current line looks extremely generous.

Leg 4: Libertad vs Delfin over 2.5 goals @ 19/20 (Sunday 1AM)

A match that looks to promise us goals will finish this week’s acca. Libertad have been excellent at home - who have the 3rd best record after six matches - but they’ve also conceded 10 - the 2nd worst in the league.

With a total of 23 goals from their six home matches, Libertad have averaged 3.83 goals per match. Only one of those games failed to hit the over 2.5 goal mark - but that came against Independiente del Valle - a team that doesn’t perform well away from altitude - in round one.

They face Delfin this weekend - a team that has picked up one point from a possible 18 on their travels, scoring four goals as well as conceding 17. Averaging 3.5 goals per match on the road, this game is set up nicely to fulfil a rather generous price.
