With Liverpool playing their game in hand on Wednesday, the Premier League title race knows where it stands. The Reds are seven points clear with 14 games remaining.

Arsenal travel to Leicester on Saturday so stand a good chance of temporarily closing the gap before Liverpool host Wolves the following day.

Brighton vs Chelsea betting tips

This fixture took place last Saturday, with Brighton winning 2-1 to knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup.

It continued a trend for the Blues, with their last five matches seeing at least three goals with both teams scoring.

They have won 3-1 and lost 4-1 within their previous five trips to the Amex Stadium, while they beat Brighton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge earlier this season.

It's Friday night under the lights. In short, there will be goals.

Scoreline prediction

Brighton 2-2 Chelsea (17/2 with Zetbet)

FIRST’s top tip:

Over 3.5 goals (5/4 with Mr.Play)

Leicester vs Arsenal betting tips

Arsenal won five of their last six meetings with Leicester by two goals. Granted, the exception was their previous visit to the King Power Stadium, but they still won (1-0) anyway.

The Foxes have conceded at least twice in their previous five home games in the league and in seven of the last eight.

Despite their dearth of attacking options, the Gunners should score two, so can you trust them to keep a clean sheet? If you can’t do so here, you can’t anywhere.

Scoreline prediction

Leicester 0-2 Arsenal (9/2 with Luckster)

FIRST’s top tip:

Handicap: Arsenal -1 (3/4 with Bet442)

Aston Villa vs Ipswich betting tips

In normal circumstances, you’d look for some value in backing Aston Villa to win.

And they likely will, but they have lots of injuries in defence. Having only kept two Premier League clean sheets at Villa Park this season, it was already realistic to think Ipswich could score here.

But as they’ve kept just one shutout on the road, goals at both ends look inevitable.

Scoreline prediction

Aston Villa 2-1 Ipswich (13/2 with Vegasland)

FIRST’s top tip:

Both teams to score: Yes (5/6 with Spinzwin)

Fulham vs Nottingham Forest betting tips

The expected goal (xG) data is fascinating for this match, with xG often a great way to identify good bets. Statistics suggest Fulham have earned 12 points fewer than they deserve whereas Nottingham Forest have collected 12 more.

While this doesn’t mean they’ll cancel each other out, there was little to separate them in the reverse fixture. Fulham won 1-0 thanks to a penalty – without that, there’d have been no big chances and only two shots on target in the match.

Marco Silva’s side are second in the Premier League for draws. Another looks likely.

Scoreline prediction

Fulham 1-1 Nottingham Forest (11/2 with Spreadex)

FIRST’s top tip:

Draw (12/5 with Matchbook)

Manchester City vs Newcastle betting tips

Newcastle won’t get a better opportunity to end their wretched run at the Etihad Stadium.

They have had a full week to prepare, with several key players also getting a rest last weekend. Manchester City, meanwhile, played Real Madrid on Tuesday. Having narrowly lost, they will have one eye on the return leg next week.

The midfield battle is intriguing here as Ruben Amorim looks to stop Newcastle’s engine room, this conundrum is also discussed in our in-depth Manchester City vs Newcastle betting tips

But in a snapshot, With the Magpies’ midfield able to outrun their City counterparts, Newcastle should get a positive result.

Scoreline prediction

Manchester City 1-1 Newcastle (13/2 with Bet442)

FIRST’s top tip:

Double chance: Newcastle or draw (22/25 with BetMGM)

Southampton vs Bournemouth betting tips

Southampton come into this having won their previous league match. That’s as in-form as they’ve been this season.

Bournemouth’s aggressive style means they tend to give up chances. The reverse fixture ended 3-1 and it would not be surprising if Saints scored.

The Cherries are flying though, so while they might concede, they should easily bag a few to ensure a high goal total.

Scoreline prediction

Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth (25/2 with Matchbook)

FIRST’s top tip:

Over 3.5 goals (6/5 with Vegasland)

West Ham vs Brentford betting tips

Brentford lost at West Ham 12 months ago, but they won their preceding two visits to the London Stadium. They also ended their poor run on the road recently by winning their last two.

The Bees have also been strong against the sides that start the match week in the bottom six. With five wins and two draws from seven games against those clubs.

And while West Ham have improved a little under Graham Potter, their only win occurred when they were outshot 21-4 by Fulham. This could be another happy away day for Thomas Frank.

Scoreline prediction

West Ham 1-2 Brentford (8/1 with Mr.Play)

FIRST’s top tip:

Draw no bet: Brentford (27/25 with BetMGM)

Crystal Palace vs Everton betting tips

With Everton having had the emotion of the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Wednesday, Crystal Palace will be confident of winning.

They can call upon arguably the most in-form player in the Premier League too. Like Phil Foden and Chris Wood, Jean-Phillippe Mateta has scored six goals in his last five appearances.

The Palace man has the highest expected goal tally of the trio, suggesting his hot streak may be more sustainable.

As the rest of Oliver Glasner’s squad have three goals between them in the last five, back Mateta to score.

Scoreline prediction

Crystal Palace 2-0 Everton (13/2 with Zetbet)

FIRST’s top tip:

Jean-Phillippe Mateta to score any time (43/20 with BetMGM)

Liverpool vs Wolves betting tips

Four of Wolves’ previous five Premier League visits to Anfield saw them lose to nil. There’s every chance they’ll be beaten again, but they could get on the score sheet.

Liverpool failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four league games at Anfield. This run includes facing Ipswich and Leicester, two sides below Wolves at the start of the weekend.

Having scored at Nottingham Forest and Chelsea, Wolves easily might here too.

Scoreline prediction

Liverpool 3-1 Wolves (69/10 with Spinzwin)

FIRST’s top tip:

Liverpool win and both teams to score (7/5 with Luckster)

Tottenham vs Manchester United betting tips

Tottenham have beaten Manchester United twice this season, scoring seven goals in the process. But can you trust them to win any game?

As bad as the Red Devils have been this term, worse teams have won at Tottenham. With the result hard to forecast, let’s focus on goals.

Only Crystal Palace have seen fewer first half goals in total than United. As a bet on the second half being the higher scoring paid out in four of the last five clashes in north London, let’s go with that.

Scoreline prediction

Tottenham 2-1 Manchester United (17/2 with Spreadex)

FIRST’s top tip:

Highest scoring half: Second (Evens with Spreadex)

Odds correct at the time of writing.
