Has Liverpool’s defeat at Fulham last weekend woken up the title race? Almost certainly not, but Arsenal can apply pressure if they win before the Reds face West Ham.
At the bottom, it will need a miracle to stop Leicester and Ipswich going down with Southampton. Their tough away games this weekend don’t make it any likelier.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace betting tips
This fixture could yet be repeated in the FA Cup final. Manchester City will hope not should they get there as Crystal Palace have a very good record against them.
The last six meetings at the Etihad Stadium have been evenly split between two wins each and two draws. Palace arrive unbeaten in 10 away games in the Premier League too.
One part of our Premier League prop betting tips this week, It would surprise nobody if City won, but backing the visitors to get a positive result at the prices available looks sensible.
Scoreline prediction
Manchester City 2-2 Crystal Palace (12/1 with Zetbet)
FIRST’s top tip:
Double chance: Crystal Palace or draw (81/50 with Mr.Play)
Brighton vs Leicester betting tips
These sides drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture, with Brighton failing to win despite being two goals up in the 85th minute.
The last time they visited the Amex, Leicester were thumped 5-2. That sort of outcome is far likelier than another draw.
Brighton should get ahead early too. The Foxes have been losing at half time in their last three league games, five of the previous six, and haven’t scored before half time in the last 13.
Scoreline prediction
Brighton 3-0 Leicester City (7/1 with Spreadex)
FIRST’s top tip:
Half Time/Full Time: Brighton/Brighton (5/6 with BetMGM)
Nottingham Forest vs Everton betting tips
Everton’s form has slumped after a good start under David Moyes. They are winless in six.
However, the form can be deceptive. They have drawn five of those games and have scored in seven of their last eight.
As the exception was at Anfield, a trip to high-flying Nottingham Forest could equal another shut out. They had two big chances at Liverpool, though, so another Everton game in which they score and concede is very possible.
Scoreline prediction
Nottingham Forest 2-1 Everton (15/2 with Luckster)
FIRST’s top tip:
Both teams to score: Yes (9/10 with Bet442)
Southampton vs Aston Villa betting tips
Having had their long-expected relegation confirmed, Southampton can play with freedom. They will also be hosting an Aston Villa side-eyeing their Champions League rematch with Paris Saint-Germain.
But how can you bet against anyone facing potentially the worst team in Premier League history? Villa have won their last three domestic away games without conceding, scoring three in three of their previous five on the road in all competitions.
Expect an away win and expect goals.
Scoreline prediction
Southampton 1-2 Aston Villa (13/2 with Coral)
FIRST’s top tip:
Aston Villa win and over 2.5 goals (11/10 with Vegasland)
Arsenal vs Brentford betting tips
Brentford have a strange relationship with Arsenal. The Bees have only scored in one of their previous four home meetings with the Gunners, losing them all.
Yet they’ve scored in their last four games at the Emirates Stadium. While Brentford only have one draw from those matches and will probably lose again, they should be able to score against a side distracted by a forthcoming trip to face Real Madrid.
Scoreline prediction
Arsenal 2-1 Brentford (7/1 with Spreadex)
FIRST’s top tip:
Both teams to score: Yes (4/5 with Ladbrokes)
Chelsea vs Ipswich betting tips
Chelsea are the only team to suffer defeat at Portman Road this season, going down 2-0 in the reverse fixture.
They should gain revenge. Goals have dried up for the Blues and away sides at Stamford Bridge though, with the previous three matches there seeing just three in total.
But they were all for Chelsea, who won their previous four home games in all competitions to nil.
Scoreline prediction
Chelsea 2-0 Ipswich (11/2 with Spinzwin)
FIRST’s top tip:
Chelsea win to nil (5/4 with Spreadex)
Liverpool vs West Ham betting tips
West Ham’s last two trips to Anfield ended in 5-1 thumpings. Granted, both were in the Carabao Cup but that doesn’t auger well.
But here’s the thing, they’ll probably score again. The Reds’ backline made numerous errors last weekend, after all.
The four teams below West Ham in the league table all scored in defeats at Liverpool this season. Why can’t they?
Scoreline prediction
Liverpool 3-1 West Ham (11/1 with Matchbook)
FIRST’s top tip:
Liverpool win and Both teams to score (7/4 with Vegasland)
Wolves vs Tottenham betting tips
Wolves are 17th in the Premier League, yet everything points towards them beating Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The head-to-head record is a good place to start, as it shows Wolves have three wins and draw from the previous four meetings.
But there’s also Spurs’ record after Europa League games. This season they have lost five times, including to Ipswich and Leicester, so they can definitely be beaten by Wolves.
Scoreline prediction
Wolves 2-1 Tottenham (15/2 with Mr.Play)
FIRST’s top tip:
Wolves win (23/20 with Bet442)
Newcastle vs Manchester United betting tips
Injuries and suspensions offer opportunities for other squad members to thrive. Newcastle’s Anthony Barnes has certainly made the most of Anthony Gordon being unavailable.
Across the previous three match weeks, Barnes leads the Premier League for expected goals. He scored at his former club Leicester last time out, plus he got an assist in the two matches prior.
With a Europa League-weary Manchester United unlikely to offer stern resistance, Barnes can continue his fine form.
Scoreline prediction
Newcastle 2-0 Manchester United (15/2 with Zetbet)
FIRST’s top tip:
Harvey Barnes to score anytime (21/10 with BetMGM)
Bournemouth vs Fulham betting tips
This is the xG nerd’s derby for 2024/25, with both teams having fantastic underlying numbers. It makes the result hard to predict but goals seem very likely.
The last two meetings saw four goals, while this fixture in 2023/24 ended 3-0 to Bournemouth.
The Cherries have lost each of their previous three home games 2-1, with five of Fulham’s last six on the road ending with that score line in one direction or the other.
Both teams have seen an average of exactly three goals across their most recent eight league games. An extra goal here is hardly a stretch.
Scoreline prediction
Bournemouth 2-2 Fulham (13/1 with Matchbook)
FIRST’s top tip:
Over 3.5 goals (39/20 with BetMGM)
Odds correct at the time of writing.
