The relocation to London is said to enable the event brand to continue on its upward trajectory, as they aim to achieve their four-year plan of over 30,000 visitors and 550+ exhibitors and sponsors by 2028.
This news comes at the same time as the announcement that ICE and iGB affiliate Barcelona are recognised as one of the top 5% business events in the world.
Event industry experts Explori, who collaborate with over 7,000 global events and conferences amongst a variety of industries, has ranked both in the top 5% based on their Net Promoter Scores.
This metric is based on attendee satisfaction and their likelihood of recommending the event to colleagues and peers in the industry.
Following their historic Barcelona editions, Explori conducted research with the attendees, which led to a calculated net advocacy of +67 for ICE, which is up from last year’s score of +50, and IGB affiliate also improved, earning a +68 figure, up from 62+ in 2024.
Ben Haley, senior research manager at Explori Media stated: "The transition of ICE and iGB Affiliate from London to Barcelona has been a big success from an attendee advocacy perspective.
“With the Net Promoter Score improving notably year-on-year from +50 to +67 (ICE) and +62 to +68 (iGB Affiliate) both scores over index against Explori's 36-month rolling tradeshow benchmark for attendee NPS, which sits at +29, and put both ICE Barcelona and iGB Affiliate Barcelona 2025 in the top 5% of events.”
This sentiment was shared by the European Casino Association secretary general, Hermann Pamminger, who said: “The European Casino Association (ECA) is delighted to report that ICE 2025 Barcelona surpassed all expectations, showing a new era for this prestigious industry event. We want to congratulate Clarion Gaming for successfully moving the world's biggest gaming shows to their new home in Barcelona.”
