Premier League club Chelsea have teamed up with online crypto iGaming firm Roobet to provide exclusive betting coverage in Canada and Latin America.
Announced on 28 January, the multi-year agreement sees Roobet widen its global reach by entering 32 crucial markets and offering unique promotional content. Fruits of this deal have already been brought to the forefront – with the Curacao-licensed gaming entity publishing a Chelsea-centric bonus for registered bettors on the day of the announcement.

The Blues have also revealed plans to deliver matchday tickets and training ground access to Roobet users. Moreover, first-team players will represent Roobet across various marketing materials.
Roobet co-founder and head of partnerships, Anthony Brennan, discussed the newfound pact in a press release: “Roobet is excited to partner with Chelsea, and it gives Chelsea fans the opportunity to win money can’t buy experiences. Bringing the evolution of iGaming to the world in partnership with Chelsea will continue to elevate the unique experience that Roobet offers to our players.”
Chief revenue officer for Chelsea, Casper Stylsvig, also voiced his satisfaction with the deal: “We are really pleased to welcome Roobet to the club as our official betting partner and regional partner for Latin America and Canada.”
Stylsvig elaborated on the importance of growing both brands in all-new regions, saying: “There is a huge passion for sport and entertainment across the 32 territories for the partnership, which gives the club and Roobet an incredible opportunity to drive significant growth and value through tailored content and exclusive offers for fans and users.”
Partnerships of this ilk are not new – and further behind-the-scenes contracts are expected to follow in the wake of an upcoming ban on front-of-shirt betting sponsorships in the Premier League. While operators such as Roobet will be restricted from appearing on players' shirts, it is anticipated that a flurry of international and domestic betting arrangements shall be signed before the door slams shut on shirt-based promotions.
Advertising hoardings, training gear and other non-matchday contracts between betting groups and Premier League clubs will remain legal when the 2026 iGaming prohibition goes live. Therefore, Chelsea will be free to join forces with platforms like Stake (whom it partnered with in 2023), continue its work with European betting partner Betway and collaborate with African iGaming associate, MSport.
Mooted as a “landmark partnership” in an official Chelsea statement, this Roobet-Chelsea alliance stands as the latest in a series of deals between Roobet and sports organisations, athletes and entertainers. Roobet currently works with UFC fighter Charles Oliveira as well as hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg – demonstrating the entity’s ambition to enter the mainstream landscape.
In 2023, Roobet’s free-to-play sister platform, Roobet.fun, became the official social casino of the UFC.
