Champions League favourites revealed as Man City odds drift

Manchester City's odds have plummeted in their bid to retain the Champions League.
City fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus last night, leaving them perilously close to falling outside the play-off spots. They now just sit one point above the dotted line with two games to go.

And that reflects in the outright market, with City's odds crashing from best odds 11/4 favourites out to 9/1 outsiders with Betway.
It means Liverpool, who sit top of the Champions League table with the only 100% record so far, went from 14/1 best odds pre-tournament into 4/1 frontrunners with the firm to clinch their seventh title in Munich in May.
The Reds beat Girona 1-0 on Tuesday night to make it 18 games without a defeat in all competitions (W16 D2), a run that also sees them 4 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Arsenal, with four wins and in third place in the table, are 6/1 with Betway for their first European success. You can also find Spanish rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid at the same odds.

Despite last night's defeat leaving City with just one win in 10 games, manager Pep Guardiola remains upbeat about his side's chances of making the play-offs.
He said: "We played good, really, really good. We concede few, some transition happened but I am so proud for these players. They give everything and they tried and now we live in this period and hopefully we can change results."
Guardiola reckons his side only need a draw in their remaining two games, with a tricky trip to Paris Saint-Germain and what should be a routine visit of Club Brugge coming up.
"We have two games, we need one point maybe," he added. "You go to Turin, Paris, our three games away were really tough. You have to accept it.
"We will turn around, not forget that period, appreciate more what we have done in the past and what we are going to do in the future."
Liverpool, meanwhile, go into their final two games against Lille and PSV safe in the knowledge they're already through to the knockout stages.
But that didn't stop Reds boss Arne Slot from going in on his players after their poor showing against Girona.
The Dutchman said: “I’m really pleased with the first five games. But I’m far from pleased about the performance tonight.
“What wasn’t I pleased about? I wasn’t pleased with a lot. If you play against a team that has such a good idea about football and knows how to bring the ball out from the back like some of the teams we’ve played recently such as Real Madrid and Manchester City, you need to be so intense if you want to make it difficult for them.”
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich are 8/1 to win the tournament with the incentive of playing the final in their home stadium. England captain Harry Kane is also looking to win his first piece of silverware of his career with the club. 2010 winners Inter Milan are at 16/1 with Betway to go all the way again.
