Cristiano Ronaldo next club odds: Where will the Portuguese forward head next?

After two years, 105 games and 93 goals, Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to leave Al-Nassr following the conclusion of the Saudi Pro League season.

He posted on his X account just hours after their final game, saying: "this chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."

Rumours are rife that the former Manchester United forward is being earmarked for an appearance at the upcoming Club World Cup, especially as Al-Nassr failed to qualify.

Brazilian club Botafogo – who will be taking part in the competition next month – have recently been linked with a move for Ronaldo.

According to FIRST.com’s partners Ladbrokes, he has plenty of other options to choose from.

Botafogo – 2/1

The Brazilian outfit are one of four clubs from the nation getting ready to play at the Club World Cup and having Ronaldo in their squad could boost their chances of making it out of the group stage.

They take on PSG, Atletico Madrid and Seattle Sounders in Group B. Will Ronaldo be tempted to secure a short-term contract with the club?

Sporting Lisbon – 2/1

The club where it all began for Ronaldo. He started to make an impression for the club’s youth sides before making his senior debut during the 2002/03 season.

Ronaldo caught the eye of Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer of 2003 and the rest, they say, is history.

At 40, a return to his first club would be the perfect ending to a stunning career.

Al-Hilal – 7/2

Despite scoring nearly 100 goals since his move to Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo failed to win any trophies with Al-Nassr.

Al-Hilal, who are arguably one of the best teams in the country, are third favourites to sign Ronaldo.

With a chance to win trophies in the Middle East very much a goal for the 40-year-old, signing for Al-Hilal perhaps gives him the best chance.

Any MLS team – 9/2

Might the world get to see Lionel Messi against Ronaldo one last time? It could still happen.

Ronaldo joining any MLS side is priced at 9/2 with Ladbrokes and it would certainly be an ideal destination for the forward to end his playing days.

Monterrey – 10/1

Next up is Mexican side Monterrey. Former team-mate Sergio Ramos signed for them last year, while the likes of Sergio Canales and Lucas Ocampos are other high-profile signings for the Liga MX outfit.

They are also set to feature at the Club World Cup this summer. Could this entice Ronaldo to link up with Ramos in Mexico?

Boca Juniors – 14/1

Over the years, players such as Carlos Tevez and Daniele De Rossi have finished their careers with Boca Juniors.

At 14/1, the Argentinian club are certainly no favourites to sign the former Real Madrid talisman, but could they entice him to South America?

Like Botafogo and Monterrey in this list, Boca will also be taking part in the Club World Cup. Bayern Munich are favourites to win that group, but the Argentinian side have a good chance of finishing second.
