Grosvenor Sport will kick off 2025 with two sponsored national hunt fixtures after securing a pair of title sponsorships at Newbury racecourse.

The brand has a long association with British horse racing, with Grosvenor Sport currently the yard sponsors of national hunt trainer Harry Fry in Dorset, and Flat racing trainer Harry Eustace in Newmarket.

The deals will see Grosvenor Sport enter the race meeting sponsorship market for the very first time, with the betting company acquiring title sponsorship rights to two meetings on Newbury’s January schedule.

Newbury’s national hunt fixtures on Thursday 9 January and Wednesday 15 January will carry Grosvenor Sport’s title sponsorship, with the deals celebrated by Grosvenor Sport sportsbook director Simon Kew, who said they were the first of several events they plan to associate the brand with in 2025.

“We’re excited to team up with Newbury racecourse for two fantastic racedays on the ninth and 15th of January, sponsoring a total of 10 races,” he said.

“This marks our first venture into race sponsorships and highlights our ambition to develop a strong portfolio of events as we move into 2025.

“Newbury is one of the country's premier racetracks and we look forward to getting underway, as we continue to strengthen our connection to the sport which already includes our ambassador work with trainers Harry Fry and Harry Eustace.”

Newbury racecourse head of sales Jordan Coates added: “We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Grosvenor Sport as part of an expansion of their sponsorship portfolio within British horseracing. We are looking forward to working closely with their team over the coming months.”

Grosvenor’s deal with Newbury follows the brand’s important partnership extension with sports betting platform developers Kambi last year.

Grosvenor Sport was launched in 2015 as an expansion of the Rank Group-owned Grosvenor Casino brand. Parent company Rank signed a deal with Kambi the following year, and worked to integrate Grosvenor’s sports betting platform with Rank’s Bede Gaming-powered online gaming platform.

That partnership was extended in 2023 after the company saw a huge uptick in revenues through their sports betting product.

Director of sports at Rank Interactive, Tom Orton, welcomed the extended partnership, saying: “With Kambi’s support we have driven 80% growth in our Grosvenor sportsbook revenues over the past 12 months and are excited about what this extended partnership can deliver.

“We aspire to be the sportsbook of choice, not only for our digital customers, but also those who visit our venues, and Kambi will help us to realise our ambitious goals at Grosvenor Sport.”
