Natasha Jonas spoke exclusively to FIRST’s Georgia Banks ahead of her huge women’s world welterweight unification bout with rival Lauren Price at the Royal Albert Hall on 7 March.
The new WBC and IBF world champion was in no mood to talk retirement. Vowing to respond in the ring and ‘put a stop’ to all the hype around Olympic champion Price and tell the world ‘I told you so’ in response to claims she should hang up her gloves.

Hitting back at her critics, Jonas said: “I’m not here to dim anyone’s light, but ultimately you’re telling me that I’m finished and I’m telling you that I’m not….(and on 7 March) I’ll prove myself right.”
Jonas discusses her Olympic dream being realised, motherhood and what legacy she wants to leave in and out of the ring - but crucially who she is gunning for next!
The huge domestic bout will headline a big night of women’s boxing around Women’s Independence Day, with both the WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois and 2024 Olympian Cindy Ngambe on the bill.
