Paddy Power reveals it gave out over 293 million free bets and rewards in 2024

Flutter Entertainment-owned Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has announced over 293 million free rewards were given away in their annual 2024 value report.
The report breaks down the operator’s distribution of rewards throughout the year across areas such as sports betting, online gaming and the ‘Paddy’s Rewards Club’ paid membership.

In sports betting, the UK’s two flagship sports, horse racing and football, recorded impressive figures.
A grand total of 24.9 million horse racing rewards were accessed, including 6.6 million free bets and 10.6 million winning bets on the bookies’ ‘Best Odds Guaranteed’ promotion.
Another 3.6 million winning bets also came in via the ‘Racing Extra Places’ option, while 4.1 million ‘Racing Money back’ tokens were issued.
Football also witnessed a memorable year which saw Spain crowned European champions in Germany during the summer.
Over 14 million free bet-builders were placed across the year, while the March-launched ‘Suber Sub’ promotion, which keeps bets alive when a player is substituted, was leveraged 23 million times.
An additional 2.8 million free bets were also claimed across the likes of darts, boxing and major US sports.
The bookmaker’s online gaming platform also saw a wealth of action, including the placing of 167 million free spins on casino slot games, as well as 35.7 million on its ‘Wonder Wheel’ promotion.
Customers were offered the chance to reap the rewards across 33 ‘Guaranteed Prize Days’, which dished out 8.5 million rewards in total.
Paddy Power also gave away an additional £1m worth of rewards in its ‘£1m giveaway’ promotion.
Prizes included £600,000 in cash, as well as an additional four million free spins handed out to customers.
Other interactive games also saw substantial cash prizes, totalling a combined £3m. ‘Beat the Drop’, where players were asked a series of multiple-choice questions to maintain a higher prize pool, saw a total of £2.9m pounds won from free entries.
Players were also tasked with predicting whether a player will hit a nine-darter in the ‘Nine Dart Challenge’, which handed out 66,000 free bets worth a total of £150,000.
In total, the online gaming platform saw over 215.2 million actions across 2024.
The bookie also offers additional rewards and prizes through its ‘Paddy Power Rewards Club’ loyalty programme, which was launched in 2016.
Members can sign up for free and are granted points for placing bets and playing games with the bookmaker, which can then be exchanged for free bets and bonuses.
A grand total of 8.3 million free bets were recorded to have been handed out across the year through the club, ensuring customer engagement is retained at a high level.
