Next Stoke Manager Odds: Will Mark Robins replace Pelach?

Stoke City are now searching for their third manager of the season. Having started his stint at Stoke back in September, after signing a three-year contract, Narcis Pelach has now been sacked.

After nine matches without a win, and with Stoke losing the Boxing Day home match to Leeds United, time is now up for Pelach. He leaves the club 19th in the Championship, just three points above the relegation zone.

Since the start of 2018, the Potters have seen eight bosses leave the club: Mark Hughes, Paul Lambert, Gary Rowett, Nathan Jones, Michael O’Neill, Alex Neil, Steven Schumacher and Pelach.

According to SkyBet, names likely to be in the mix, as the next Potters manager, are: Mark Robins, David Wagner and Ryan Lowe in the top three. Meanwhile there are some big names with lower odds that have also been thrown into the mix such as Erik ten Hag with odds of 66/1 as well as John Terry with better odds of 25/1.

Pelach said in his final press conference: “We have not been helped by availability in my opinion. Sam Gallagher, for example, has made only two starts this season and he is probably one of our best players. Bosun Lawal has not been there and he is expected to be a very good player for Stoke City and now we’ve lost Million Manhoef.

“We have to bring players in during January because the league is very tough and Stoke City needs more players.”

The 36-year-old is the third manager of Stoke in the last 12 months but former Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross will take the interim position, with Stoke now looking to find a new permanent manager to avoid relegation.
