What is BetTom all about?
Bonuses
BetTom offers a ‘free bet’ up to the value of £25, which on the surface looks like a fine offer, but you only get that free bet based on your first-day losses, so it’s actually more of a refund than a bonus.
To qualify, you must bet a minimum of three bets of £10 or more and have them settled on the first day.
The 10 free spins, valued at 10p per spin, are for BetTom’s Big Bass Splash slot, and have a wagering requirement of x35, which means you have to play through your money several times before it’s eligible for withdrawal. Any free bets you earn have to be used in their entirety within seven days of their award.
Available sports
BetTom offers a wide range of sports betting options, with a strong range of different sports to bet on. All of the mainstream sports are there, as you’d expect, but unlike most online betting sites geared towards the UK market, the site’s primary sport is horse racing, rather than football.
So if you’re a racing bettor, that will undoubtedly be a big plus point. Fans of betting on niche sports will be happy to see plenty of options available, with the likes of padel and pesapallo included, as well as eSports and surfing, to name just a few.
User experience and interface
BetTom may be a newcomer to the sports betting market (established 2024), but its website’s design looks remarkably dated.
The layout of the site is familiar enough, with key links and sports options listed in the left sidebar of the desktop site, with the betslip located in a column of its own on the right of the screen, and the odds and events themselves populating the centre of the page.
But the overall style and presentation of the site looks pretty basic. It’s nothing a reskin won’t fix, however, and a design refresh would certainly kick it up a gear.
Despite its rather basic design, the actual site itself works just fine. Navigation makes sense to anyone familiar with online betting sites, and information is displayed clearly.
The logo has the feel of an old-school horse-racing-led bookie, and racing features prominently on the homepage, with the day’s next races featuring across the screen for easy access.
Mobile and app compatibility
It’s a similar story with the app. The design looks dated, and the fonts are basic, but everything you need on the app is present and correct.
The lack of visual bells and whistles does have an upside – the app is lightweight and works swiftly, which is exactly what you want when betting on the move.
The app itself is available on both App Store and Google Play, but at the time of this review, it’s so new that it hasn’t garnered enough reviews to generate an official rating on either platform.
