By James Walters
Malta-based operator Betrino was founded in 2020 with its primary focus being on casino games. However, in 2024 their UK online bookmaker launched to give fans an opportunity to now use a dual platform. They originally offered limited markers, but they’ve now expanded and they also offer a fair few unsuspected betting markets - let’s see how their sports betting site works!

What is Betrino all about?
Bonuses
Betrino’s welcome bonus of ‘bet £10 and get a £10 free bet’ is a fairly average new customer offer, but it will perhaps be less appealing to those who like to play larger stakes.
Additionally, they do have a cashback offer on numerous sports, which sees bettors get 10% of their deposit losses (up to £500) back. Therefore, if you’re going to deposit money into your betting account frequently, it’s an added bonus.
Available sports
Betrino originally offered limited markets and upon an initial glance, it seems they only cover the likes of football, golf and boxing. However, once you create an account and sign in, there is an extensive list of sports and markets available. They also have decent odds on most sports too.
They cover all major sports, but it is worth noting that you can’t do ‘bet builders’ on football matches. When I tried to build a bet with multiple selections on the same game, it kept saying that the picks couldn’t be combined, which is a slight disappointment.
However, Betrino has quite a few markets for niche sports including chess, lacrosse and kabaddi, while their tab for in-play events is huge. They are all over live football, tennis and basketball matches around the world as well as providing live statistics to accompany the odds.
Their esports section is also brilliant. There are: Dota 2, League of Legends, Halo, Counter Strike 2 and CrossFire markets available - which is a lot compared to other bookmakers in the UK.
User experience and interface
I think the user experience on Betrino is competent. They have their carousel at the top of the site to showcase the welcome bonus and cashback offers, with their list of sports below. There is also a search option next to the list if you want to find something specific.
Football is highlighted as soon as you click on the sports tab at the bottom of the page and, you scroll to the right on mobile to get other sports markets. On the desktop site, the list of sports is on the left side of the screen.
Mobile and app compatibility
The way Betrino’s desktop and mobile sites are displayed is pretty similar, apart from the list of sports and markets moving. There is also an option to have a ‘multi-column’ on desktop football markets, meaning there are win-draw-win markets, as well as handicap markets in a list. This option isn’t available on mobile.
Betrino doesn’t have a mobile app, but their site does work efficiently on mobile web and is set up to resemble an app. There’s a list at the bottom of the page including menu, casino and sports. However, it can be tricky to navigate at times so we'd recommend using a desktop to make your bets.
VIP programmes and loyalty rewards
Betrino has a solid VIP loyalty scheme which sees you earn more rewards the more you bet. You earn points by completing tasks such as betting on a sporting event or claiming a bonus. You then head to the rewards store where you can redeem free bets, bonus money and cashback deals in exchange for your points.
Pros and cons of Betrino

The VIP scheme is worth checking out. Rewards are decent and it entices you to keep logging into your account | Bet builders unavailable on football |
The esports section is superb and the variety of games covered is right up there with their rivals | Currently no mobile app functionality |
In-play section has everything you could want for the likes of football, tennis and basketball | |
Number of deposit and withdrawal options is as good as it gets in terms of bookmakers |
Licensing
Betrino is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and they’re owned by ProgressPlay Limited, which is a Malta-based company who represent multiple bookmakers under their brand umbrella. Due to their Malta base, they are also licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
Payment methods
Betrino’s deposit and withdrawal options are brilliant. You can deposit money into your account via: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Paypal, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, Neosurf, Payz and Payviaphone. The minimum deposit is £10, but it can go up to £20 for certain payment options. Additionally, you can’t deposit money into your betting account with a credit card.
Their withdrawal options are the same as the list above apart from customers are unable to withdraw via Neosurf or Payviaphone. The minimum withdrawal is also £10 for all payment methods.
Security and fairness
Betrino uses encryption and firewall technology to secure your data and if you have any issue, they have a support section at the bottom of their site, however, you have to jump through a couple of hoops to get what you want. They have a live chat, email and contact form available.
Responsible gambling measures
Betrino has responsible gambling coverage on their site. There are GamStop, Be Gamble Aware and Gambling Commision links available for customers, with self limits and self-exclusion tools also available.
