What is MagicRed all about?

Bonuses

MagicRed have a welcome bonus of bet £10 and get a £10 free bet plus 10 bonus casino spins. It’s a competitive offer but not the best on the market. Your qualifying bet must be placed on a selection that’s priced at evens (1/1) or above and deposits via PayPal, Paysafecard and Skrill are not eligible.

Available sports

MagicRed have every main sport you would want to bet on, while they also have markets on niche sports including winter sports, stock car racing and chess.

They’ve clearly invested a lot of time in their football markets. If you click on their Premier League tab, there are over 180 markets for each game and you can also create a Bet Builder. If you click on football, a list of countries shows up. Once you select one, a drop-down menu appears and you just pick the league you’re looking for.

However, it’s worth noting that individual Bet Builder selections do not have odds next to them like other bookmakers, you only get the odds of the overall bet, which doesn’t help bettors find value picks.

When you go on MagicRed, you’re greeted with their vast in-play section. You can bet on popular sports including football and tennis, while there are also markets on esports, basketball and even the likes of futsal. However, they fall behind other bookmakers as there aren’t any live statistics to partner the markets for in-play events.

MagicRed also has plenty of esports options. Dota 2, League of Legends, Rainbow Six, Counter Strike and Valorant all have their own tabs on their ‘All sports’ section.

Their American sports options are solid, however, you cannot combine markets into bet builders on the likes of American football.

User experience and interface

MagicRed’s colour scheme of black and red is simple enough and it does the job. The new customer offer sits at the top of the homepage but the layout differs slightly on desktop and mobile.

On desktop, their boosted odds option is on the left, as is their full list of sports available. It’s their in-play markets that you’re first greeted with on desktop.

When visiting the site on mobile, the list of sports is just below the welcome offer, with the boosted odds special and in-play odds below.

Next to the in-play tab on desktop and mobile, MagicRed has a ‘highlights’ section, which offers odds on the biggest competitions. Just click on the sport you’re after and the upcoming events will be there. It’s easy to navigate and you don’t have to keep using the search bar.

While some casino sites that have created a sportsbook feel like they’ve given it little thought and it’s almost been done for the sake of it, MagicRed’s site has what you need in a pretty simplified manner.

Mobile and App compatibility

MagicRed’s desktop and mobile sites follow the same format, apart from the list of sports moving, but you’re greeted with a lot more markets on the former, which can be slightly overwhelming. In-play football markets are the first thing you see, with odds for full time result and over/under 2.5 goals, while there are also horse racing odds on the right of the screen.

On mobile, the site looks a little classier and is simplified. The boosted odds special tops the site next to the ‘all sports’ list and below are tabs for in-play markets, highlights and sports on that specific day.

There’s a list of tabs at the bottom of the page including home, in-play, my bets and betslip. There’s also a ‘more’ tab, which gives you links to boosted odds, all sports and bet builders.

Their app, which is available on iOS and Android, is slick, fast and is pretty much identical to their mobile site. The MagicRed app has an average rating of 2.5/5 (6 reviews) on the Apple App Store. However, it doesn't appear to have Google Play compatibility.

VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

MagicRed doesn’t have a VIP loyalty scheme, which can be off-putting for bettors. Four welcome bonuses appear on their site and three of them are for casino games, with the other being their £10 free bet welcome offer. This highlights their casino first focus and maybe not acknowledging how a loyalty bonus scheme would entice bettors to use them over their rivals.
