What is Mr Rex all about?

Bonuses

Mr Rex offers customers a solid ‘bet £15, get £30’ welcome offer, which requires you to deposit and bet £15 to qualify for a £30 free bet. If you win with your free bet, you’ll need to ‘play through’ (bet with) your winnings before they’re eligible to be withdrawn as real money.

Available sports

Like all of the sports betting brands under the ProgressPlay banner, Mr Rex carries an impressive array of sports and markets to bet on, with the big mainstream betting sports like football, horse racing and tennis joined by lesser-seen sports like lacrosse and kabaddi. It’s a strong lineup that offers plenty of options.

User experience and interface

Mr Rex runs ProgressPlay’s plug-in sports betting platform, which delivers a strong, comprehensive betting engine, but at the expense of some user-friendliness.

It’s not as easy to use as some of the other sites we’ve reviewed, but once you get used to its own navigation, particularly its somewhat fiddly sports selection menu on the left of the site, you’ll find a solid sports betting site with a good range of functionality and features. From reviewing a number of ProgressPlay-powered sites, I find them to work better on a desktop browser than on mobile.

Mobile and app compatibility

Continuing on from the above, Mr Rex’s plug-in betting engine struggles a little on mobile in terms of usability, where things can get a little cramped and fiddly to use. Other sites offer slicker, smoother operation, and mostly via an app. But Mr Rex’s sports betting is currently only accessible via a web browser for mobile users.

VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

In addition to their welcome offer, Mr Rex runs regular cashback promotions across different sports and events, and also offers the chance to earn a £20 free bet every Monday through their free bet Mondays promotion, which requires you to deposit £50 with the code ‘FBM’, then place £50 of qualifying bets on any sporting event to earn your £20 free bet.
