An ever-present in the UK sports betting space since the early 2000s, NetBet is a long-standing bookie with a wide range of sports and markets and a smart website with a range of bonuses and promos.

    What is NetBet all about?

    Bonuses

NetBet offers a decent welcome bonus of £20 in free bets for new customers who deposit and bet £10 on a bet builder, but they also offer a range of other promos for existing customers, too. When we reviewed the site, they had a special offer on the Aston Villa vs. Manchester United game where you can earn a free £5 bet for placing a £5 bet builder on the game. Additional promos include payouts on matches where your team takes a two-goal lead.

    Available sports

NetBet’s slate of sports is comprehensive, with all of the usual suspects available to bet on. NetBet’s offerings for football and basketball are particularly strong, but there are also some lesser-seen sports on their A-Z list, including bandy, speedway and kabaddi.

    User experience and interface

The NetBet website is solid, if somewhat unspectacular. It does exactly what you’d want a sports betting site to do, but it’s not as visually appealing as some of its rivals, and it doesn’t share some of the additional little touches that make a good betting site a great one. But nothing here is out of place, and everything works as you’d want it to, so no complaints. It just isn’t as feature-packed as some of its rivals. However, one function that NetBet does have is their ‘bet assist’ feature, which offers relevant stats for the betting market you’re viewing. It’s not ever-present, but when it’s available, it’s a real advantage for punters looking for additional at-a-glance stats to help inform their bet.

    Mobile and app compatibility

NetBet’s app offers a better user experience than the website, though the lack of momentum when scrolling can make whizzing down a page to find odds below the fold harder work than it probably should be. Functionality-wise, though, it works well, and with NetBet’s huge range of sports, it’s a good mobile betting option to have in your arsenal.

Google Play: 3/5 stars (64 reviews)

    VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

NetBet’s sponsorship of Power Slap has led to a rewards offer where players who place a bet of £5 within a specific period can earn a free spin of the Power Slap Wheel of Sportune to win free bet prizes. There is also a correct score game for existing customers where up to £5,000 is up for grabs for predicting four correct scores in a single round of games.

    Pros & cons of NetBet

    ProsCons
Excellent range of sports, with football and basketball particularly well coveredWebsite doesn’t share many of the bells and whistles of the best sites in the UK
Fun addition of hard-to-find betting sports like bandy, speedway and kabaddiScrolling down the app can be hard work
Bet Assist function is great for new bettors and non-expertsWelcome offer could do with being simpler (e.g. a straight-up bet, rather than a bet builder)
Competitive odds make them handy for odds comparison
Score prediction game and Wheel of Sportune offer additional opportunities for existing customers
