The 2025 World Series of Darts continues this week with the US Darts Masters.

Madison Square Gardens (MSG) plays host to the event for the seventh time and the tournament has become one of the most popular in the PDC schedule.

Last year, Rob Cross powered to victory, defeating Gerwyn Price 8-7 in what was a thrilling final. The New York crowd will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday evening.

So far this season, Stephen Bunting has dominated the World Series of Darts. Not only did he emerge victorious in Bahrain and Copenhagen last time out, but the Englishman also reached the final of the Dutch Masters.

Such is his dominance, Bunting is seeded first for the tournament, which is set to feature eight North American representatives.

Add in Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and a returning Michael van Gerwen, the US Darts Masters could be a cracker this year.

The favourites

Naturally, both Lukes headline the betting market for the tournament. This comes despite Littler being seeded fourth and Humphries missing out on a seeding.

The pair crashed out of the World Cup two weeks ago, losing their opening game in what was a major shock. This shouldn’t affect them too much, especially as normal service resumes.

Despite the early exit, Littler is the favourite to win the US Darts Masters this week, sitting as low as 7/4 with BetVictor.

At the time of writing, the draw for the tournament has yet to be made, meaning Humphries could face a seed in the quarter-finals should he win his opening match.

The 2024 world champion can be backed at 7/2 with BetVictor as he sits second favourite behind his namesake.

Price came so close to winning a third World Cup for Wales alongside Jonny Clayton.

The Welshman played superbly throughout the competition and he is currently third favourite this week.

FIRST’s top tip for 2025 US Darts Masters

Coming so close to World Cup glory will only give Price more motivation to avenge his 2024 final defeat to Cross.

He is also on the opposite side of the draw to both Littler and Bunting.

Pick: Gerwyn Price to win the US Darts Masters – 11/2 (BetVictor)

Extra tips

Cross has impressed over the previous two World Series of Darts events this year. At the Dutch Masters, he defeated Price in the semi-final before overcoming Bunting 8-5 to claim the title.

Just a few weeks ago, the ‘Voltage’ conceded only four legs in victories over Chris Dobey and Price to reach another final. This time, however, Bunting triumphed.

Nevertheless, Cross enjoys this format and as defending champion, he will be keen to go back-to-back at MSG.

Pick: Rob Cross to win the US Darts Masters – 12/1 (BetVictor)

Elsewhere, the tournament sees the return of Van Gerwen. The Dutchman hasn’t played since the final week of the Premier League season on May 22.

There was no doubt the three-time world champion needed a break away from the game and having won this event twice in the past, how good would it be to see him return to the winners circle?

He isn’t seeded, but we all know just how devastating the 36-year-old can be when at his best.

Only time will tell whether he can enjoy a dream return to the states. Would it really be a surprise if he won the title?

Pick: Michael van Gerwen to win the US Darts Masters – 13/2 (BetVictor)

The value picks

How to seek out the best value plays? Alongside the eight PDC players, the rest of the spots are filled with American and Canadian players.

Matt Campbell and Leonard Gates are the two who perhaps have the best chance of progression into the quarter-finals. Odds of 80/1 and 125/1 respectively, however, suggest they are best avoided.

Damon Heta makes his first World Series of Darts appearance across the pond this week.

The Australian has reached three finals at this level in his career, prevailing on home soil in 2019 by securing the Brisbane Darts Masters.

At 12/1 with BetVictor, the 37-year-old is certainly excellent value, especially each-way to reach the final.

Instead, I’m going for an Englishman who has played some sublime darts throughout 2025…

FIRST’s value pick for 2025 Nordic Darts Masters

Nathan Aspinall may not be seeded for this tournament, but should he play like he did when defeating Littler at the Nordic Darts Masters earlier this month, he could go all the way.

Pick: Nathan Aspinall to win the US Darts Masters – 12/1 (BetVictor)
