The Premier League’s 'big six' clubs are kept apart in matchweek 22 but that doesn’t mean there aren’t many intriguing fixtures this weekend.
For instance, Arsenal host Aston Villa as two of this season's Champions League teams clash in north London. There’s also Newcastle welcoming Bournemouth to St James’ Park with both striving for a European place.

Newcastle vs Bournemouth betting tips
There have been just four Premier League matches this season in which both teams had at least eight corners. Bournemouth’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle in August was the first of them.
The Magpies were involved in the last two, at Crystal Palace and Tottenham respectively. While this match is unlikely to be another – you’ll notice it only happens on the road for Newcastle – there should still be plenty of corners.
There have been at least 10 in three of the last four meetings of these clubs. Bournemouth are also joint-second in the division for matches which paid out on over 10.5 corners, with Newcastle only one behind them.
Scoreline prediction
Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth (42/5 with Matchbook)
FIRST’s top tip:
Over 10.5 corners (4/5 with Spreadex)
Brentford vs Liverpool betting tips
There won’t be many Premier League fixtures that have seen more goals than Brentford versus Liverpool since the Bees were promoted in 2021.
The score lines in the last three seasons have been 3-3, 3-1 and 1-4 when the clubs have clashed in west London. Brentford top the division for home games featuring at least four goals this season too.
With Arne Slot’s side giving away a few cheap goals recently and scoring 2.8 goals per away game, the score line in this match could be utterly ridiculous.
Scoreline prediction
Brentford 1-3 Liverpool (167/20 with Zetbet)
FIRST’s top tip:
Over 3.5 goals (17/20 with Mr.Play)
Leicester vs Fulham betting tips
Fulham beat Leicester 2-1 in August. It was also the score line when they last won at the King Power Stadium, two visits ago.
Marco Silva’s men are the kings of the both teams to score market this season, paying out in 17 of their 21 league matches. Despite their lowly standing in the division, the Foxes have only failed to score in three of their 11 home games too.
With Fulham having delivered better performances than results recently, another 2-1 win in this fixture feels very much in reach for them.
Scoreline prediction
Leicester City 1-2 Fulham (133/20 with Bet442)
FIRST’s top tip:
Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (15/16 with Luckster)
West Ham vs Crystal Palace betting tips
Despite Selhurst Park’s reputation as a bit of a fortress, Crystal Palace have taken more points on the road than at home this season, and from one fewer game too.
They are unbeaten in their last six away league matches, something only Arsenal (also six) and Liverpool (10) can say at present. The Eagles have also won two and drawn three of their previous five visits to West Ham.
The home side will be feeling confident after beating Fulham 3-2 on Tuesday. However, they only had four shots, so Palace should have a great chance of a positive result.
Scoreline prediction
West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace (77/10 with Spinzwin)
FIRST’s top tip:
Draw no bet: Crystal Palace (23/25 with BetMGM)
Arsenal vs Aston Villa betting tips
Arsenal start the weekend second in the league, both for points and matches which paid out on under 2.5 goals bets.
Their recent head-to-head record against Aston Villa is a similar tale, with four of the last six clashes seeing no more than two goals. This includes the Gunners’ 2-0 victory at Villa Park in August, the most recent meeting of the teams.
While many of the Villans’ away games have been higher scoring, they failed to find the net at Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea. With Arsenal not in free-scoring form, there won’t be many goals here.
Scoreline prediction
Arsenal 2-0 Aston Villa (6/1 with Spreadex)
FIRST’s top tip:
Under 2.5 goals (97/100 with Vegasland)
Everton vs Tottenham betting tips
If you look at a Premier League table for the last 38 games, you find only Wolves below Everton. The West Midlanders are also the only club who have lost more matches than Tottenham.
Neither of the teams lining up at Goodison Park on Sunday has had much fun over the last year. Spurs do at least know how to score goals, though, which helps. Only Liverpool have scored more in the division this season.
With Everton averaging under a goal per home game in 2024/25, Tottenham should have enough to win.
Scoreline prediction
Everton 1-2 Tottenham (38/5 with Mr.Play)
FIRST’s top tip:
Tottenham to win (35/23 with Matchbook)
Manchester United vs Brighton betting tips
This fixture ended in a win for Brighton in each of the last two seasons. If their squad wasn’t so light through injuries, they’d fancy their chances of making it three in a row.
Manchester United should be confident after battling draws at Liverpool and Arsenal, with a penalty shootout win against the latter. Before Amad Diallo’s late-late show against Southampton on Thursday to secure victory.
But two of those games were 0-0 at half time and this could be too. United are already into double figures for league matches which were level at the break this season, while Brighton have the most draws overall.
Scoreline prediction
Manchester United 2-0 Brighton (115/13 with Luckster)
FIRST’s top tip:
Half time draw (7/5 with BetMGM)
Nottingham Forest vs Southampton betting tips
The last time Nottingham Forest hosted Southampton at the City Ground, they won 4-3. This promises to be rather more straightforward for the home side.
The Saints have only scored six goals in their 11 away matches this season. Granted, they did net at the Emirates Stadium, but that was the only goal from four matches on the road against the teams in the top seven at the start of the weekend.
With Forest just one goal shy of having the joint-best defensive record in the Premier League, they should be able to keep Southampton out on their way to a routine victory.
Scoreline prediction
Nottingham Forest 2-0 Southampton (51/10 with Vegasland)
FIRST’s top tip:
Nottingham Forest win to nil (5/4 with Spreadex)
Ipswich vs Manchester City betting tips
If you told an Ipswich fan in August that their team would earn the same points as Manchester City between the start of November and mid-January, they’d ask what you had been drinking. Yet here we are.
Even so, it will be tough for the Tractor Boys to get a positive result against the champions. City might still be susceptible in defence but at least the goals have started flowing again, with eight across their last three league games.
Pep Guardiola’s boys should overpower the team they beat 4-1 earlier in the season. Ipswich should score again though.
Scoreline prediction
Ipswich Town 1-2 Manchester City (44/5 with Matchbook)
FIRST’s top tip:
Manchester City win and both teams to score (39/25 with Zetbet)
Chelsea vs Wolves betting tips
Chelsea are in a rough stretch of form, having won none of their last five league matches. They should end this run when hosting the side that has conceded the most goals in the Premier League this season.
In fact, only four teams in the competition’s history have allowed more goals than the Wolves team of 2024/25 after 21 games. This is good news for Nicolas Jackson, who hasn’t scored in the Blues’ winless streak.
He’s been having good chances with three expected goals wasted in the last five games. A defence as bad as Wolves’ should enable Jackson to get back on the goal trail.
Scoreline prediction
Chelsea 3-1 Wolves (9/1 with Spreadex)
FIRST’s top tip:
Nicolas Jackson to score any time (10/11 with BetMGM)
Odds correct at the time of writing.
