Matchweek 23 sees leaders Liverpool and challengers Arsenal playing at the same time, which won’t happen often again this season. Both should win but it could be a significant Saturday afternoon for the title race.

Elsewhere, the big weekend match sees Manchester City host Chelsea – once a Champions League final, now a battle between fourth and fifth.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest betting tips

Our first match pits together two of the season's surprise packages in Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest. It also features Justin Kluivert and Chris Wood, two of the Premier League’s most in-form forwards.

In their last five matches, the pair have scored five and four goals respectively. While Kluivert has home advantage here, nine of his 10 league goals have been netted on the road. Wood has a seven-seven split between home and away, so is the likelier scorer here.

Both teams should score and that’s our selection in FIRST’s weekly acca too

Scoreline prediction

Bournemouth 2-1 Nottingham Forest (69/10 with Zetbet)

FIRST’s top tip:

Chris Wood to score any time (21/10 with BetMGM)

Brighton vs Everton betting tips

Brighton won 3-0 at Everton in August, aided by a red card for Ashley Young. The preceding two meetings both ended 1-1, which feels a plausible outcome here.

The Seagulls top the Premier League for draws this season, with 10. They have tied three of their last four at the Amex Stadium too.

With Everton only two draws behind and joint-top for tied games away from home, this will be close.

Scoreline prediction

Brighton 1-1 Everton (6/1 with Spreadex)

FIRST’s top tip:

Draw (11/4 with Mr.Play)

Liverpool vs Ipswich betting tips

Liverpool were poor for the first half of the reverse fixture against Ipswich yet still won 2-0 after conceding just seven shots.

Kieran McKenna’s side may have scored at Manchester City earlier this season, but they did so with their only shot of the game in a 4-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium in August. The Tractor Boys failed to score in their three other away matches against teams starting this weekend in the top nine.

As Liverpool have won to nil at Anfield against City and Real Madrid, they should do so against Ipswich too.

Scoreline prediction

Liverpool 3-0 Ipswich (60/11 with Luckster)

FIRST’s top tip:

Liverpool win to nil (39/50 with Bet442)

Southampton vs Newcastle betting tips

Newcastle beat Southampton 1-0 at St. James’ Park earlier this season despite playing with 10 men for over an hour.

They also won 4-0 against both Ipswich and Leicester last month. The Magpies beat Wolves 3-0 last week too. They punish the strugglers.

Add in that Saints have conceded five at home to Brentford, Chelsea and Tottenham and Newcastle should win by several, right?

Scoreline prediction

Southampton 0-2 Newcastle (441/50 with Matchbook)

FIRST’s top tip:

Handicap: Newcastle -1 (21/20 with Vegasland)

Wolves vs Arsenal betting tips

Wolves have only failed to score in one of their home league games this season, while Arsenal have just two clean sheets from 11 away matches.

You can get decent odds for an away win with both teams to score. While not quite as good, backing an Arsenal victory combined with over 2.5 goals appeals too.

This selection paid out when the Gunners travelled to Brentford, Crystal Palace and West Ham this season. And if Wolves score, it becomes likelier anyway.

Scoreline prediction

Wolves 1-3 Arsenal (91/10 with Zetbet)

FIRST’s top tip:

Arsenal win and over 2.5 goals (5/4 with Matchbook)

Manchester City vs Chelsea betting tips

Matches between Manchester City and Chelsea tend to be low-scoring. The 4-4 draw they shared at Stamford Bridge last season was an aberration.

But other recent meetings occurred when City were impregnable, not the open outfit they are now.

Neither side appears capable of keeping a clean sheet against a competent Premier League attack, which could lead to an enthralling match between two teams fighting for Champions League positions. It might not end 4-4 but expect plenty of goals.

Scoreline prediction

Manchester City 3-1 Chelsea (11/1 with BetMGM)

FIRST’s top tip:

Over 3.5 goals (99/100 with Bet442)

Crystal Palace vs Brentford betting tips

Crystal Palace’s home games with Brentford have grown more interesting with every passing year. It was 0-0 when the Bees were first promoted, then 1-1 in 2022/23 and 3-1 to the Eagles last season.

Both teams scored in the last five meetings, and the same can be said for Palace’s last five league games at Selhurst Park. As four of Brentford’s previous five matches on the road saw three or more goals, this London derby should be lively.

Scoreline prediction

Crystal Palace 2-1 Brentford (32/5 with SpinzWin)

FIRST’s top tip:

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (17/20 with Mr.Play)

Tottenham vs Leicester betting tips

This fixture is frequently pure chaos. The last six times Tottenham have hosted Leicester have seen scorelines including 6-2 and 5-4. Only one of the matches didn’t feature at least three goals.

While the Foxes are struggling to score at present, most of their issues have been at home. They have netted in four of their last six games on the road, including at Aston Villa and Liverpool. It’s a must-win fixture for Spurs but Leicester should score.

Scoreline prediction

Tottenham 3-1 Leicester (8/1 with BetMGM)

FIRST’s top tip:

Tottenham win and both teams to score (13/10 with Spreadex)

Aston Villa vs West Ham betting tips

New manager Graham Potter must stem the bleeding at West Ham. They have conceded 15 goals across their last five matches, at least two in every game.

The visitors might keep this match tight against an Aston Villa side who start the matchweek eighth in the table. Each of West Ham’s five away matches against teams between sixth and 11th saw exactly two goals.

It’s eight league games since Villa scored more than twice too.

Scoreline prediction

Aston Villa 2-0 West Ham (123/20 with Zetbet)

FIRST’s top tip:

Under 2.5 goals (10/9 with Luckster)

Fulham vs Manchester United betting tips

Fulham must hate playing Manchester United at Craven Cottage. Despite performing well in their last two visits, the home side lost to injury time goals both times.

Against what manager Ruben Amorim called the “worst team, maybe, in the history of Manchester United” Fulham should have more of a chance, especially as they have a week to prepare while the Red Devils were in Europa League action against Rangers on Thursday

Let’s test Amorim’s assertion. Fulham to win.

Scoreline prediction

Fulham 2-0 Manchester United (46/5 with Vegasland)

FIRST’s top tip:

Fulham to win (61/50 with Mr.Play)
