Market Rasen - 2.51 Chaos Control

Stuart Edmunds has his string in sensational form in early October, operating at around a 40% strike-rate, and he can enhance that record here with CHAOS CONTROL. The six-year-old adores this venue, with both career wins coming at this track.

Specifically over course and distance, the gelding has won twice from three starts, with the one defeat coming in last year's Summer Hurdle up a Class 2 level. He had been off the track for over a year prior to his comeback spin on the Flat at Newmarket nearly three weeks ago, where that would have been used to get him absolutely spot-on for this. Back into

Handicap Hurdle company off a mark of 116 and underfoot conditions to suit, he looks to have a great chance of enhancing his terrific course record.

Charlie Hammond takes the ride and a big performance can be expected here with everything in his favour against a few rivals who are scratching around for form.

Lingfield - 3.00 From The Hip e/w

This looks like a fairly wide-open encounter, but it looks as though it is worth following now, upped to 7f for the first time in this Nursery. The colt goes handicapping for the first time off a mark of 68, and looks open to progress, giving every impression that the step up to 7f will be ideal.

In many ways, he has run similar races in all three starts to date, most noticeably over 6f at Wolverhampton last time out, where he looked pot-paced as the tempo lifted, had to go wide, and then rallied to stay on for third inside the closing stages. On visual evidence, this extra furlong can only aid the cause, and off his rating, he could easily have more to offer.

Tyler Heard takes the ride, and I think From The Hip looks more than capable of getting involved at the business end of proceedings.

Lingfield - 5.05 Kiniro

The Harry Charlton-trained KINIRO is a previous Course and Distance winner who has been hitting the crossbar lately, but can get back in the winner's enclosure here with the red-hot Oisin Murphy taking back over in the saddle.

He has performed well to finish third on his last two starts, where, if anything, he was almost too lit up by the application of cheekpieces, and he was keen and over-raced. So in many ways it isn't a surprise to see the headgear binned off this time around, and if Murphy can get his mount switched off, he looks more than capable off a mark of 75 of getting the job done.

Stall 8 means that he may well be forced to drop in, and that could easily work in their favour. KIniro has solid claims of taking out this Class 5 event.
