Ange Postecoglou next club odds: Where next for former Tottenham boss?

Despite leading Tottenham Hotspur to their first major honour in 17 years - and first continental triumph in over four decades - Ange Postecoglou lost his job as Spurs boss with speculation beginning as to who will succeed the Australian as their new manager.

In spite of a woeful Premier League campaign which saw Tottenham finish 17th, they will participate in the 2025/26 Champions League but it will not be the former Australia gaffer that will lead them against European football’s crème de la crème next season.

After managing in three continents so far, where will the 59-year-old manage next? Paddy Power have speculated as to who will secure the signature of ‘Big Ange’.

A managerial merry-go-round could be about to begin in the Premier League as Brentford boss Thomas Frank is the odds-on favourite to succeed Postecogolou at Spurs.

That would therefore lead to a vacancy at the Bees, and Paddy Power believes that ‘Big Ange’ will most likely be swapping north London for west London (7/2) and succeeding the Dane at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Having managed in Oceania and Asia, worldwide vacancies don’t appear to phase Ange Postecoglou whatsoever.

However, Paddy Power believes that a move to any Saudi Arabian club (9/2) could soon entice the Aussie and provide yet another managerial adventure.

West Ham United (13/2) are another club that could provide Postecoglou the chance to stay in London, with the Hammers deemed the 59-year-old’s third most likely destination according to Paddy Power.

The Australian national team (15/2) are on the verge of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, so it seems unlikely that a return to the Socceroos hotseat is next for big Ange.

However, having held that position between 2013 and 2017, a return down under may be on the cards in the near future.

Celtic (9/1) gave Ange Postecoglou the chance to come over to Europe, and the Hoops continued to taste victory during the Aussie’s tenure.

A win percentage of 73%, two Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish League Cups and a Scottish Cup were accumulated during Ange’s stint in Glasgow which was certainly a success.

Newly-promoted Leeds United (10/1) are an intriguing option, considering the unknown future of Daniel Farke.

Despite the German winning the Championship with the Whites and picking up 100 points, there could be a vacancy opening up at Elland Road somewhat soon according to reports.

Any MLS club (14/1) would see Postecoglou manage in a fourth different continent, alongside Asia, Europe and Oceania.

Manchester United (20/1) are the club in which he led Tottenham to European glory against in Bilbao, which would certainly raise a few eyebrows.

Crystal Palace (25/1) are another team that tasted success in 2024/25, and the Eagles will be participating in next season’s Europa League after Oliver Glasner led them to FA Cup victory.

Chelsea (25/1) are also in next season’s Champions League after triumphing in Europe last season, winning the Conference League.

But taking over at Stamford Bridge is as likely as ‘Big Ange’ taking charge of Fulham (25/1) or heading back to Oz with any A-League club (25/1) according to Paddy Power.
