Leroy Sane next club odds: Where could the Bayern Munich winger move next?

Leroy Sane's Bayern Munich contract is coming to an end in around three weeks' time.

After his Nations League campaign with Germany has come to an end, but with the Club World Cup on the horizon with Bayern, where does the 29-year-old’s future lie?

The bookmakers believe that Die Roten’s number 10 will swap Munich for Istanbul, as Galatasaray (2/1) are considered the favourites to secure the forward’s signature this summer.

The Turkish champions would provide a different change in climate and culture, but also the opportunity to continue to fight for trophies and compete against the best in next season’s Champions League.

Arsenal (3/1) provide Sane the opportunity to return to England with a side that’s looking to fight for the Premier League title and compete for domestic and continental honours.

Mikel Arteta would be bringing in a serial winner and great depth option to the Emirates. Any potential move would also see him possibly link up with compatriot Kai Havertz in the Gunners’ frontline either in place of, or even accompanying, Bukayo Saka.

Usually if you’re linked with one of Istanbul’s biggest two clubs, the other isn’t far away from the transfer speculation. It’ll be the German’s choice as to whether he chooses Galatasaray or Fenerbahce (7/2) if he opts to transfer to Turkey.

But the bookies aren’t overly confident that he’ll leave his native Germany, as to stay at Bayern after the summer transfer window (4/1) is deemed somewhat less likely than if Sane was to leave Bavaria altogether.

According to reports, the 29-year-old isn’t interested in joining Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur (16/1). However, Spurs would provide him with a chance of playing at the highest level in next season’s Champions League alongside the Premier League.

Barcelona (20/1) are the reigning champions of Spain, but Sane primarily occupies the right-hand side which is taken up by their academy product and Spanish wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

Napoli (22/1) were Scudetto winners in Italy, but a move to Naples is as likely as a return to England with either Chelsea (22/1) or Newcastle United (22/1) according to the bookmakers.

Having already played his football in Manchester at City, a move to Manchester United (25/1) seems pretty unlikely to appeal to Sane.

However, the bookies believe that a move to Old Trafford is as likely as the German signing for Real Madrid (25/1), Inter Milan (25/1) or any Saudi Arabian team (25/1).

AC Milan (28/1) will not be participating in any continental competition next season so, despite being able to secure his signature on a free transfer, the lack of European football may not appeal to the winger.

Moves between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund (33/1) aren’t too seldom. However, a transfer to Signal Iduna Park – bear in mind he also played for rivals Schalke 04 - is around the same likelihood as a transfer to Italy with Juventus (33/1) or France with Marseille (33/1).

The bookies can’t really see a world in which Sane makes an emotional return to Manchester City (40/1). After a trophy-laiden spell with the German giants too, a new challenge elsewhere in Europe may await.
