Champions League odds 2025/26: Liverpool and PSG early favourites

Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain achieved their first Champions League triumph at the weekend, as the Allianz Arena oversaw a 5-0 annihilation of Inter Milan.

Few could have predicted the devastating nature of that victory – but one thing is for certain: next season’s tournament promises the highest level of competition in several years.

With big names on the move and clubs rearming for a fresh European title charge, now is the time to evaluate UK bookmakers’ favourites to lift ‘big ears’ in 2025/26.

Liverpool – 6/1 (William Hill)

Last season’s Premier League champions have already placed a marker down for 2025/26, with multiple key additions expected to enter Anfield before the first portion of this summer’s transfer window shuts on 10 June.

The Reds may have exited Europe’s elite competition during the Round of 16 in 2024/25 – but Arne Slot’s new-look Liverpool are expected to return with a vengeance come September.

At 6/1 with William Hill to win a seventh Champions League crown, this could stand as the best price available for the foreseeable.

PSG – 7/1 (BetMGM)

Many anticipated PSG to crumble in the wake of Kylian Mbappe’s departure for Real Madrid in 2024.

Now European champions - having seen off multiple major teams across the continent - Les Parisiens are BetMGM’s second favourite (7/1) to triumph in 2026.

Boasting a youthful squad bolstered by European experience and pedigree beyond their years - all led by a wisened Marquinhos -  PSG will not pull punches in defence of their title.

Real Madrid – 7/1 (Betfred)

Xabi Alonso’s debut campaign as Real Madrid head coach comes with one vital goal: return ‘Los Blancos’ to their European perch.

A fresh defensive lineup comprising ex-Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen and Liverpool’s former creative stalwart Trent Alexander-Arnold should close significant gaps that punished the 15-time Champions League winners in 2024/25.

As Mbappe enters his prime years, 7/1 with Betfred represents a solid price point to get in on.

Manchester City – 8/1 (Ladbrokes)

Following a trophyless 2024/25, Pep Guardiola remains intent on returning Manchester City to Champions League glory next year.

The Etihad Stadium has become accustomed to consistent success since 2008’s monumental takeover by Sheikh Mansour - culminating in eight domestic league titles, one UEFA Super Cup and a single Champions League win.

As Omar Marmoush settles in and Erling Haaland finds his feet again after an injury-stricken end of the season, City could represent terrific value for money at 8/1 with Ladbrokes

Arsenal – 9/1 (BetVictor)

The Gunners have won just one major trophy since Mikel Arteta’s arrival in late 2019 – notching a winner’s medal in the 2020 FA Cup Final.

Since then, each of Arsenal’s attempts to sit amongst Europe’s domestic and continental champions have fallen short.

Last season’s failures were largely attributed to the squad’s lack of a goalscorer. None of the club’s forwards hit double figures in front of goal in the Premier League, while hopes of a historic Champions League achievement were dismissed by eventual winners PSG.

Yet, with links to Europe’s most dangerous strikers this summer, Arsenal could mount a meaningful European attack next time around.

Many bookmakers, like bet365 (7/1) and Paddy Power (7/1) place Arteta’s men closer to industry-wide favourites – but BetVictor (9/1) offer the most lucrative deal.
