Club World Cup: Which group will win the tournament?
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is well underway, with teams from all eight groups vying to lift the new-look trophy on 13 July.
According to the UK’s best bookmakers, the following groups are most likely to see a contender take home the competition’s coveted prize money.
Group B tops the charts
Any group with Atletico Madrid and PSG was always going to be considered a strong favourite in this year’s Club World Cup.
However, it is Brazil’s Botafogo that has stood out most during the tournament’s opening phase – taking three points against Champions League winners PSG and the Seattle Sounders.
With PSG expected to ramp up efforts in the coming weeks, Botafogo on a roll and Atletico Madrid prepared to pick up the pieces following potential mishaps from those above them, Quinnbet’s 9/4 on a Group B side to win the Club World Cup appears a good value pick.
Group G’s titans to battle for glory
Manchester City and Juventus scored a cumulative total of 17 goals over their first two outings – putting Wydad Casablanca and Al-Ain to the sword in no uncertain terms.
Both European clubs are strong favourites to earn Club World Cup glory themselves.
In turn, the pair carry impressive odds for the group as a whole – as bet365 have any team from Group G at 10/3 to win the final.
Group C hinges on Bayern Munich
Although Benfica produced a 6-0 thumping against New Zealand’s Auckland City, the Portuguese side has otherwise struggled to lay down a firm marker in terms of a true title charge.
Bayern, on the other hand, have not lost since early April. With ex-Crystal Palace man Michael Olise and 22-year-old Jamal Musiala at the heart of the German champions’ attack, Die Roten boasts one of the most potent threats throughout the tournament.
As such, bet365 have Group C to win the Club World Cup at 4/1.
Real Madrid leading Group H to glory
Much was expected of Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid in this inaugural reformed Club World Cup. The Galacticos’ first test, a stalemate with Al Hilal, was followed by a 3-1 win over Pachuca. Frustratingly for Los Blancos, that result was overshadowed by Raul Asencio’s red card.
Nevertheless, Real (5/1) sit as bet365’s fourth favourite to win the entire tournament – which aligns with Quinnbet’s 9/2 odds listing for a Group H team to clinch victory in the final.
Four groups at 9/1 or longer
None of Inter Miami, Palmeiras, FC Porto or Al Ahly are given much of a chance by bet365 – as Lionel Messi’s Group A is priced at 14/1 by bet365 to win the Club World Cup.
Similar is true for Chelsea’s Group D (9/1, bet365) and Inter’s Group E (12/1, QuinnBet), with strong South American displays projected to fizzle out as the four-week competition enters straight-knockout territory.
Neither bet365 nor QuinnBet anticipate Group F to have any tangible impact on the Club World Cup’s final, as Borussia Dortmund’s bracket brings up the rear at 16/1 across both bookmakers.
