Formula 1 ‘driver to win a race’ odds analysed: Leclerc and Hamilton fancied
The 2025 Formula 1 season has seen four drivers claim the podium’s top step so far, with George Russell, Max Verstappen, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris clinching at least one victory.
That leaves 15 grid members without a win this year – a statistic many will hope to remedy before the campaign concludes in December.

Here, we analyse odds posted by Paddy Power and bet365 on which winless driver will attain first place during a grand prix by the time Abu Dhabi’s chequered flag waves.
Charles Leclerc – 8/13 (bet365)
After three wins in 2024, Ferrari’s Monegasque driver had hoped to push on this time around. However, the eight-time race winner is yet to come out on top during a grand prix.
Leclerc — whose most recent win came at the 2024 US Grand Prix — is priced at 8/13 by bet365 to notch P1 at least once in 2025. Having won twice at Monza since joining the sport, the 27-year-old will view 25 points as a realistic possibility at his team’s home race in September.
Lewis Hamilton – 5/6 (Paddy Power)
Hamilton switched from the Silver Arrows to the Prancing Horse at the start of this season, but the record-holder for Formula 1 race victories has not added to his mighty 105 total in 2025.
Although 40 years old, Hamilton is certainly capable of fending off young guns when it comes to race pace, as was demonstrated at Spa Francorchamps and Silverstone in 2024.
Paddy Power have the seven-time world champion to win a race at 5/6 as the Austrian Grand Prix approaches; a track Hamilton won at in 2016 and 2020.
Kimi Antonelli – 6/4 (bet365)
Still just 18 years old, Italy’s Kimi Antonelli stands as one of Formula 1’s most exciting prospects.
He took his first podium in Canada and, with trips to circuits where he was successful in F2 during 2024 to come — Silverstone and the Hungaroring — the fledgling star should be confident in competing for a win this year.
At 6/4 with bet365, a bet on Antonelli could present good value.
Yuki Tsunoda – 10/1 (Paddy Power)
Red Bull’s second seat has endured a torrid 2025, with Yuki Tsunoda replacing Liam Lawson after just two outings.
Japan’s sole Formula 1 representative has acknowledged his own struggles in the RB21 – not finishing better than ninth in eight races for Christian Horner’s team.
Hence, Paddy Power have Tsunoda to win a race in 2025 at 10/1.
Fernando Alonso – 14/1 (Paddy Power)
We’re entering highly unlikely territory here, as two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso is without a win since 2013.
The Spaniard turns 44 years old in July – around two weeks after the British Grand Prix, where he has finished first twice.
Whether he can equal a personal record of three victories at a single circuit (the other being Malaysia) by earning P1 this summer remains to be seen, but the veteran will not back down if given the opportunity.
At 14/1 with Paddy Power and bet365, it’s a long shot for Alonso to win this year. With that said, a victory could prove fruitful for fortunate bettors.
