Betting giant bet365 have launched a ‘Non-Runner No Bet’ special offer for the upcoming 2025 Grand National.

The UK  betting platform went live with the customer offer on Friday 14 March, enticing plenty of interest in the showpiece Aintree event which will take place on Saturday 5 April.

The ‘Non-Runner No Bet’ incentive means bettors can have peace of mind in the event that the horse they back for the Grand National does not make the line-up on the day.

The Stoke-on-Trent-based operator has confirmed that any bets staked on the ‘Win and Each Way’ (NRNB) market will be refunded if a selected horse does not run and in multiple bets, that particular line of the bet will be deemed a non-runner.

The special offer applies to all bets placed from 5pm on Friday 14 March, until further notice.

With three weeks to go until the iconic racing contest, some of the early contenders attracting interest in the NRNB market include Cheltenham victors Inothewayurthinkin and Stumptown, both trained by Gavin Cromwell.

Vanillier, another from the Cromwell stable, is also gaining significant early backing.

Here is a snapshot of some of the names gaining traction for the Grand National:

Inothewayurthinkin

- Won the Mildmay Novices' Chase at Aintree in 2024 after the triumph in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham.

- This has been followed up with the scalp of 8/13 favourite Galopin Des Champs in the Cheltenham Gold Cup this year.

- Now positioned as the short-priced favourite for the 2025 Grand National.

Stumptown

- Aiming to follow the precedent of Tiger Roll by winning the National after success in the Cross Country Chase.

- Goes into Grand National reckoning in strong form with four consecutive race wins, all over distances of at least three miles.

Intense Raffles

- Completed an unbeaten novice chasing season, topped by a victory in the Irish Grand National last April.

- With a generous 10st 10lbs mark for the National, the seven-year-old should be fresh in what has been a relatively quiet season so far.

I Am Maximus

- There is an element of expectation on the 2024 Grand National winner.

- Last year’s runaway champion is carrying six more pounds at 11st 12lbs.

- Only previous appearances this season were in Grade 1s at Leopardstown, pulling up in the Savills Chase, then beaten by Galopin Des Champs in the Irish Gold Cup showdown.

Pat Cooney, bet365 racing specialist, opined:

“Friday’s Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning Inothewayurthinkin is clearly the best-handicapped horse in the Aintree Grand National but connections will be in no hurry to confirm his participation in the big race next month.

"Saturday’s Midland Grand National saw an emphatic win by Mr Vango, who made virtually all the running to defy top weight of 12 stone. He’s one to consider at our 25/1 with the NRNB angle, as he is very much soft ground-dependent and will only run if ground conditions suit”.
