Next Premier League manager to be sacked odds: Daniel Farke, Nuno & Parker among favourites

Next Premier League manager to be sacked odds | Sack race latest

Vitor Pereira became the Premier League’s latest managerial casualty on Sunday. Pereira was shown the Molineux exit having overseen a dire start to the season.

Indeed, Wolves are yet to win any of their opening 10 league matches, picking up just two points in the process.

As Wolves look for their Pereira successor, with Gary O’Neil the favourite, attention turns to the next manager to leave their post market. And there are a few who should be looking over their shoulder…

Daniel Farke – Leeds

Having bought himself some breathing space with a much-needed win over West Ham, Leeds reverted to type with a 3-0 loss at Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites were poor at the AMEX stadium and while Brighton isn’t an easy place to visit, a sub-par showing left little to the imagination.

Leeds have struggled on the road so far this season, losing all but one of six away matches this season, and a trip to Nottingham Forest this weekend is not what Daniel Farke will have wanted.

The departure of Pereira combined with Saturday’s defeat means the German is the 5/2 favourite to be the next manager to leave his post.

Nuno Espirito Santo – West Ham

West Ham ended their dire home start to the season with a commendable 3-1 win over Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.

Few gave the Hammers a chance of downing the Magpies yet Nuno masterminded a fine victory to move West Ham five points clear of the bottom.

Sunday marked Nuno’s first win as West Ham head coach having succeeded Graham Potter at the London Stadium helm in September. So how will the Hammers fare going forward?

He’ll hope to back that up with another victory against Burnley this weekend. Given the uncertainty at board level, however, Nuno remains at 6/1 to get the boot.

Scott Parker – Burnley

Speaking of Burnley, back-to-back wins over Leeds and Wolves eased the pressure on Scott Parker, who could do little but watch his side fall to a 2-0 home loss to Arsenal on Saturday.

The Clarets remain three points clear of the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s relegation six-pointer with West Ham.

While Burnley would be reluctant to undergo managerial change at this stage of the season as they look to consolidate their Premier League spot, their hand may be forced should Parker fail to claim a result in the capital.

Like Nuno, Parker is also at 6/1 to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

Sean Dyche – Nottingham Forest

Having overseen a 2-0 win over FC Porto in his first game in charge, Sean Dyche is yet to claim victory in his first two league games as Nottingham Forest boss.

Forest fell to a 2-0 loss at Bournemouth last weekend, while the Tricky Trees couldn’t hold out against Manchester United on Saturday as Ruben Amorim’s men claimed a late point at the City Ground.

They showed great spirit to come from behind to go ahead with a quickfire second half double but will have been disappointed to share the spoils.

Forest fans are willing to give Dyche a chance, and we have chalked up their Europa League odds, relegation predictions and more under the new man in charge. A first league win since August when they host Leeds this weekend would be the perfect tonic to their revival. However, with a trigger-happy owner in Evangelos Marinakis, Dyche is still at 6/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave.

Marco Silva – Fulham

Fulham ended a four-game losing run at the weekend, albeit against Wolves. Yes, you can only beat what is put in front of you, but after a solid start to the season; the Whites have looked far less convincing in recent weeks.

Marco Silva was one of those previously linked with the vacant Forest role when Ange Postecoglou was given his marching orders last month.

And Silva has shown a previous tendency to jump ship when the going does get tough as previous stints with Watford and Everton show.

Things don’t get much easier for Fulham next time out either as they travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium. At 8/1, Silva is an outside bet to be the next manager to leave, but defeat at Everton would likely see those shortened.

Thomas Frank – Tottenham

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League, have scored the joint-fifth most goals and conceded the joint-third fewest. And yet, Saturday’s showing against Chelsea was drab to say the least. Spurs mustered just one shot on target and the lack of imagination in the final third is irking supporters.

Thomas Frank only took over in north London this summer but the pressure is mounting on the Dane to turn the club’s fortunes around.

With a tricky run of games looming, Frank needs to find solutions to the lack of attacking spark and turn the club’s dire home form around.

He’s at 16/1 to be the next Premier League manager sacked. With home games against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League, and Manchester United coming up over the next week, those may just shorten.
