Scottish Premiership betting markets: Celtic lead odds but Hearts but remain in title control

Scottish Premiership title, relegation, Old Firm betting markets

With a dozen rounds in the bank, the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership is beginning to take shape. For the first time in years, followers aren’t stuck with the same predictable two-horse race. It promises to be the most exciting season in recent memory.

Hearts have powered into an early lead, leaving the Old Firm choking in their dust. Can the Jambos continue their stunning form and finally snap the Glasgow dominance, bringing the title to Edinburgh?

Scottish Premiership winner odds

Hearts are the current pace-setters, sitting on top of the Premiership with 30 points on the board, and a proud unbeaten record.

Derek McInnes has led his troops to nine wins against three draws, scoring 29 goals, and conceding 10. The team from the capital have already beaten both halves of the Old Firm, and are seven points clear of the champions.

Despite their strong start, Hearts have drawn two of their previous three, including a 1-1 home share with Dundee United in round 12. With Celtic, who are still looking to appoint a permanent new manager, winning their last two league games, and Rangers protecting a 100% record under new manager Danny Rohl, could we be seeing the early stages of a dramatic title race that’ll go right down to the wire?

Here are the latest Scottish Premiership winner odds. Prices come from Coral and are correct at the time of writing.

Finish bottom odds

The third and final Premiership market of interest to bettors is the “to finish bottom”. In the Scottish top flight, only the team finishing bottom of the league is automatically relegated, leaving the second-bottom team to face the winner of the Championship playoff.

Which side will lose their place at the top table?

The current league table has Livingston at rock bottom. The Lions have won just one match so far, drawing five and losing six.

They’ve scored 14 and conceded 23 goals, and visit Ibrox following the international break. Most Scottish football fans expect things to go from bad to worse for David Martindale in Govan.

Despite a woeful first dozen games, Livingston are just one point behind Dundee in 11th, and a single win behind Aberdeen in eighth place. No one at the Livi Lions will be ready to throw in the towel anytime soon.

Livingston are one of the current betting favourites to be relegated, behind Dundee. There’s plenty of value available, especially if you bet on Kilmarnock, who have lost their last five games, or St Mirren, who are winless in five. Here are Betfred’s odds.
