Victor Osimhen next club odds: Galatasaray deal more likely than Man Utd

After spending last season on loan at Galatasaray, Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is seeking a permanent move away from Italian side Napoli.

The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs and is also the subject of interest in the Middle East.

His return in Turkey last term will have certainly caught the eye. In 41 appearances, Osimhen found the net 37 times, while also registering eight assists.

Add with the increasing demand for top-class strikers across the continent it’s easy to see why there’s a growing list of potential suitors.

Galatasaray - 7/4

The market currently suggests Osimhen linking back up with Okan Buruk at Galatasaray is most likely. Ladbrokes are offering 7/4 for him to be playing in red and yellow next term.

The club’s vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has also confirmed Galatasaray’s interest in retaining Osimhen’s services on a permanent basis. However, Kavukcu noted the onus is on Osimhen himself to make a decision, noting Galatasaray had made “a much higher offer” than other European clubs.

Still, given he’s still only 26 years of age, the Nigerian may be eager to ply his trade at one of Europe’s top leagues as he enters the prime of his career.

Any Saudi Arabian club - 2/1

Having said that, Osimhen also has admirers in the Saudi Pro League, as the Middle Eastern country continues to establish itself as a suitable destination for the game’s top talents.

Al-Hilal have been particularly interested in signing Osimhen. Reports state the club have presented a lucrative three-year deal to the player, which also includes the option of a fourth year.

The financial allure of the league has been too much to turn down for some of Europe’s top prospects in the past, but will Osimhen add his own name to the list? Bet Victor currently have him at 2/1 to be playing in the Pro League next season.

Manchester United - 6/1

It also shouldn’t come as a surprise to see Manchester United linked with the Napoli forward considering their well-documented struggles in front of goal.

With Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee managing just seven Premier League goals between them last term, the club are eager to strengthen their forward options ahead of Ruben Amorim’s first full season in charge.

Still, both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko appear to be currently topping the Red Devils’ wishlist, hence the wider 6/1 price on offer from Coral

Juventus - 9/2

Another potential destination for Osimhen are Napoli’s Serie A rivals Juventus. Like United, the Italian giants have underwhelmed in recent years and finished 12 points behind first-placed Napoli last season.

Indeed, Juventus manager Igor Tudor reportedly eyes the Nigerian as a candidate to lead the Old Lady’s attacking line moving forward.

Convincing Napoli to sanction a deal which could substantially strengthen one of their domestic rivals would be tough, however.
