What are DragonBet all about?
Bonuses
DragonBet say they care about customer values but they aren’t thinking about the punter much by not having a welcome bonus!
The lack of a new customer offer is majorly offputting given how many brilliant offers you can get with other UK bookmakers.
Available sports
DragonBet covers a huge variety of sports. Popular sports including football, tennis and golf are covered, while you can also bet on more niche options including Gaelic games and ice hockey.
Their football coverage in terms of range of markets is great, however, it’s worth noting that bet builders are unavailable for cashout which is a slight negative.
If, like myself, you’re a horse racing punter, DragonBet has all the big meetings and races covered but the markets are very limited as you can only back the race winner, forecasts and tricasts.
We’re a fan of DragonBet’s array of in-play markets too. They offer markets on the likes of football, tennis, cricket and boxing while also boasting graphics and statistics on the events.
They have a dedicated tab on their homepage for live events while in-play markets are the first thing you see when you go on DragonBet’s site.
If you’re big on esports, DragonBet may not be the bookmaker for you as they don’t offer any markets.
User experience and interface
The DragonBet site, which has a red, white and black theme, is simple enough for users and the experience is pretty good.
At the top of the DragonBet homepage you’ll find their carousel of boosts and other promotions. You’ll then find their horse racing/greyhounds section which shows the next races taking place.
DragonBet’s in-play odds are next up with the ‘Starting soon’ section of upcoming sporting events below it.
DragonBet are unique to every other bookmaker as they have a ‘Welsh events’ section on their homepage. In fairness to them, the section is huge and there are a ridiculous range of odds and markets for Welsh events, especially football.
Mobile and app compatibility
DragonBet’s desktop and mobile sites are practically identical.
The one small difference is you have to click on a drop-down menu on the top left of the screen to get the A-Z list of sports on mobile. On the desktop version, it’s on the left hand side of the screen.
On mobile, the user-friendly tabs - sports, in-play, racing, casino and live casino - are at the bottom of the page.
The DragonBet app has an average rating of 4.1/5 (12 reviews) on the Apple App Store and a rating of 4/5 (10 reviews) on the Google Play Store.
App Store: 4.1/5 (12 reviews)
Google Play Store: 4/5 (10 reviews)
VIP programmes and loyalty rewards
Despite doing a bit of digging on DragonBet’s site, we couldn’t find any loyalty reward schemes. It seems a bit of an own goal given how many other sites offer regular promotions to earn free bets.
Pros and cons of DragonBet
Pros | Cons |
DragonBet’s site is simple to use | Lack of welcome bonus isn’t a good look considering how many other offers are out there with other bookmakers |
Number of sports and markets available on popular and more niche sports is solid | No rewards scheme or loyalty bonus is another easily resolvable con of DragonBet |
Football coverage is great, especially their Welsh football odds and markets | No cash out on bet builders is a minor flaw |
In-play section is decent and the graphics/statistics are useful | |
DragonBet say they’ll always endeavour to be top price and if they’re not, reach out and they’ll see what they can do |
